My wife and I were out buying a new (used) car for her today. (A Fiat 500 Convertible at a very good price and 12k miles on it.) I was ma'amed and misses by the dealership even after having to show my male ID since I was co-signing the loan. Dealership was great and had no issues whatsoever. (It was in Brooklyn after all.) The only bad part is the slimy finance guy to tries to add the extras you don't need.

Don't they drive you nuts, "We include free rust proofing for $XXX"

one of my very best and oldest friends got her first kiss today. shes been struggling with her sexuality for a long time and finally decided gender doesnt matter to her. im very proud of how long shes come, when we were in highschool we would have arguments over gay marriage (she comes from a very catholic family) and now shes one of the biggest supporters of my transition. Hell yeah! Go get her!

AND one of my best best best friends in the world went on a date with another good friend of mine and she kissed him. He was elated and maybe the happiest ive ever seen him!

hes cis, and never once even batted an eyelash at me. we have stayed in hotel rooms before and hes seen me without a binder, knew my boyfriend before his transition and never even mentioned or asked if im trans. he just accepts im a male and has never had an issue with it. hes the best friend a guy could ask for! and now hes got the cutest girlfriend ever!

my friends being happy after so long of being sad made me happy today.

She is afraid because of what she did at age 14 when she tried to drive her old sister's Fiat (she had a Fiat Spider) and hit her parents house with it when she panicked with the clutch on their steep driveway.

When I was teaching her, she was doing fine until we hit traffic. She knows enough to drive one in a emergency and that it all she cares about.
My foot slipped off the clutch and onto the gas when I was parking my dad's car in the garage.
Needless to say the only thing that needed replacement was the right mirror.
It's a laughable experience now, I guess.

Got a package in the mail after 3 weeks from the US.
Waiting on parts to finish projects off as can't get them here.

Oh the pain and why does it need to go via Germany?

So long and thanks for all the fish

My son met some of my friends today and was relatively sociable (meaning he said "hi" and "bye," learned a couple of their names, and ran around without shyness). We watched Frozen and he really liked it.

I went to an LGBT event on Saturday with my wife and a few friends.  A couple of them ran into a friend of theirs who occasionally does drag performances.  He asked us for drag name suggestions because he was sick of the too-common standard one he was using. (Candy Kane- *barf*) We spent about an hour coming up with fun ones for him with a Mexican twist.  Some of the fun ones were Ann Burguesa, Kay Sadilla, and mine- Juana Kiss.

I just found out he's using my suggestion.  The kicker- he had no freakin' clue that I'm trans!

I hung out with my mom and her friend at a house that she has been working on to sale at some point. I took my computer speakers and my little MP3 player out there and listened to music while I hung out. Earlier this afternoon, I sang for 2 hours straight (doing songs by My Dying Bride, Autopsy, Faith No More, Mr Bungle, King Missile and a few from the Tenchi Universe soundtrack. This song here proved to be the most difficult:

BUT, I managed to improve on it a bit. Before, I could only hit it at about 20%. This time I was able to get it up to 60%. It isn't perfect yet, but I am making some solid progress with that one.

:D They couldn't believe that I could sing that long without any real breaks. (Other than 10 to 20 seconds to cue up a song by a different band)

took the train and spent the whole day in Little Tokyo with my mom, eating delicious food and doing some shopping. She has an affinity for gold lucky cats, and she managed to find this loose leaf tea jar shaped like one. It was the very last one of that particular design, she was so happy! We topped off the day with Boba slushes and a nice relaxing train ride. After a quick rest we took the pup to get a new collar and a treat. He sure looks snazzy!

Spending good quality time with my family and seeing them happy makes me happy! and also great collars for my dog.

Yeah, I was inspired to work on my singing voice a few years ago. It was really difficult for a while because my tonsils were messed up. But once that was corrected it became much easier to get to work. The main inspiration for actually singing was Mike Patton's work in Faith No More & Mr Bungle. My main influences would be (bouncing back between harsher vocalists and more melodic ones here. Google any that you don't know):

Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride)
Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr Bungle)
Chris Reifert (Autopsy)
Bliss Blood (formerly of the Pain Teens. But her work with Exit 13 on the "Smoking Songs" CD was a massive influence).
Julie Wemyss (Conor & Jay)

Got a salon quality makeover and manicure from my roommate and her friend. It's gorgeous! I'm asking my roommate if she won't help me with making my makeup look good instead of standard for my appointment on Friday. Just over 60 hours left.

Well, I just got approval for my temp job, so I get to start work tomorrow!  Very excited about making some money which I desperately need!  It sucks that it's so short but at least it's something after struggling to find anything at all.
