Other than one noise board that is populated by probably 75% idiots, I don't use "ignore" functions on forums.

I googled big head horsey-face and in the images, it shows about 8 or 9 people from here, but not me. Most of the pics were from the show yourself thread. odd that none of mine made it in there, but other people's did.

I googled it and your thread of that title came up which I had missed, but yeah I'd date you big head horsey face, but you'd have to hold the peanut butter and oreo snacks, I need real food I'd get sick eating that gunk. Uh - maybe that's the romance deal breaker?

Happy: passed perfectly to a new friend of my brother

Unhappy: he commented that he couldn't believe I was the older brother given my beard shadow not existing on my cheeks like my brother. I felt very self-aware. The guy also dressed the way I'd dress if I didnt have two big meat sacks hanging off my chest.

I'm also fairly certain my brother's female friend that was there knows I am trans and will tell this guy, making him feel weird for reading me as male. Hopefully I will never have to see him again as I'd prefer if at least once in a while I didn't have people outing me and someone could see me for me.

Apparently he made a slightly veiled comment to my brother implying that he knew I was trans, and my brother wouldn't tell me what he said. Now I'm worried. Did he assume I was trans because he noticed my features, like a sparser beard than my brother, or did the female friend out me to him? -_- She outs a lot of people so it's very possible. But now I'm just paranoid about all my features.

I guess my brother also ran into a really obnoxious pre-T trans guy at the club. Nice. This is why I won't touch these places with a ten foot pole.

I hate that I can't control how fast my beard grows, or my height. But maybe I can control other things. I could try growing the beard out fully, but it is only sideburns and neck...might look terrible without anything on the cheeks. I also am becoming more adamant about voice work but there's no advice for FTMs and I really think we need alternate strategies.

Oh and have I mentioned how much I hate being trans? *sigh* Eff this, I know one day my day will come where this is no longer an issue but it can't come soon enough.

In regard to what you said about voice, have you tried looking on YouTube? I've found a ton of videos on voice feminization, so there might be ones about how to make your voice more masculine, too. You could try searching different things, like "FTM voice," "trans masculine voice," etc. There surely has to be something on there somewhere.

 looked a while ago, but all I found was pre-T guys finding ways to lower their pitch or just talk more stereotypically. Neither of which are super relevant to me anymore.My pitch is fine; definitely male. My biggest issue is speaking from the chest area. I know I'm supposed to, but I physically can't seem to. I played around with my Adam's apple as I saw some trans women recommending you feel where it is and use that but I just end up poking it too hard and hurting it. lol.

Try speaking from your abdomen, When I was young I had a rather feminine voice and was often made fun of, but later on I found myself in a situation that required me to shout out orders rather loudly

I noticed that this ability to shout over other rather loud noises came from down deep in the abdomen, I could even feel it down to my genitals

I also noticed that when speaking quietly on larynx phones the power to control the sound had to come from the the same place, the abdomen

The sound comes from your vocal chords, the power behind the sound comes from the abdomen

What about searching for videos on just lowering your voice in general? Like, ones intended for singers or voice actors or something.

I found a few websites which work on small changes (like the s' sound) and they are helpful as long as I practice. I find it interesting that our voices tend to fall in different places naturally depending on how we were born (given what you said about your voice just seeming to fall to the chest easier). I wonder if that's socialization or something biological.

Hm, that's a different way to describe it. Did you find you had to control your breathing in a different way to get it to come from there?

Just wrote a ton. I was supposed to finish this chapter yesterday but I was pretty depressed so I didn't get any work done. -_- But today it'll be finished. Just a few sections to write on some recent protests, and then some brief intro sections (shouldn't take long once I retrieve my proposals from my locker), and this chapter is done.
