I'm sure if I actually went to enroll something would work out. All in all the ACA is a step not far enough IMO. Canada and Australia have similar tax rates to the US for the middle class and yet have universal healthcare.

But do they have a national debt like $17,500,000,000,000 and climbing? So at what point does the rest of the world decide that we are out of control teenagers and pull our credit card? Rolling Stone sang an appropriate song, "You don't always get what you want!"

I wish I could just noy have a citizenship, so I wouldn't have to deal with any of this. But I wouldn't be able to get a passport so I could travel in that case.

I'm thinking about how grateful I am for the life I've lived. Sure, it has it's downsides, but I learned so much from it and I really like who it helped shape me to be.

Thousands of Canadians with severe back and neck pain face agonizingly long waits to see spine surgeons, only to learn they didn't need to go in the first place, creating mounting frustration and costing millions of dollars.

The reality is that back pain is common and that high-tech tests ordered by doctors often find abnormalities that have nothing to do with the symptoms - but lead to a referral to a spine surgeon. The wait can be up to a year or more, and then the surgeon frequently has nothing to offer except advice to exercise, get physiotherapy or use back supports....

"When I have the pain really bad, it's just unbearable," said Ms. Gamsby, of Guelph, Ont. "You shake, you can't think, you quiver all over and you take as many drugs as you are allowed to take to ease the pain."

She has waited two years in abject pain: one year to see the surgeon and another for an operation to repair spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal column, plus spondylolisthesis, a condition where a bone in the lower part of the spine slips forward every time she walks. Once a champion curler and avid golfer, the 71-year-old is unable to walk for long, has difficulty standing and can't do household chores.

Universal health care is great, except when you need it and have to wait for years for treatment.

I want to talk about my weird stuff again. Oh well.

I'm already thinking about Halloween costumes. I wish I could a costume whenever I want.

I was actually going to work on coming up with a Portia Porcupine costume, but other plans squashed that idea. Maybe next time.

My hair looks awesome. Just had it cut.

My mom asked me if I had a boyfriend and I told her no.  She then asked me if I had a girlfriend and I said no.  She said that I've been keeping it so cold in the house so she thinks that I've been going out instead of having the heat on.  I don't turn it on as much to help cut down on her bill.  Regardless, I'm glad that she adknowleged the possibility of me having a girlfriend.  She may have been somewhat joking but I bet she would probably flip if I told her I had a girlfriend.  My mom should know by now that I don't like men.  It's quite obvious.  I'm thinking that if she ask me seriously if I like women then I will say yes and that I'm transgender.

It would be nice to have a wife to give me a back massage right now though.  The left side has been sore lately.

I'm thinking that political discussion should stay in the politics section. I'm getting very tired of the mobile soapbox. :-\

Blame obama for that.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Nah...I'm not for one side or the other, so I don't care about all of that crap. But if you want to blame anyone, you can just blame humans and call it a day.

I wish Duck was my son.
Who's Duck?

I'm thinking about a lot of stuff that I want to talk about, but the words escape me. Also, much of the stuff I want to talk about is me-centric and at least two topics would probably make whoever I'm talking to make false and annoying assumptions.

Yeah I probably would but we don't know that until you email me and let me know. Let's face it, at this point it's all about us and our own individual stuff, but having been through the hoops I am open to whatever your stuff is and can process it outside of my own ->-bleeped-<--heap. It's your call hon though I haven't seen the second episode of Vikings and have it TEVO'ed and will watch it tonight and we can discuss that as well if you want.
