So a little unhappy backstory: on Monday night, I went to Jamba Juice right around closing time. I ordered two smoothies, and they didn't ask for a name, which I thought was a little weird. But I figured, since it wasn't very busy, they'd just call the name of the drink like they do at Starbucks sometimes. Instead, they ended up calling the name on my credit card... i.e., my female name that I haven't legally changed yet!! So that night, I wrote a very firmly worded letter to corporate....

I got a response within 12 hours, and today I got a call from the manager of the store I was at, who is apparently a member of the LGBT community himself, and is PISSED at whoever was working when this happened! He apologized profusely, found out who it was that made the error to talk to them directly, is sending a coach to the store, and offered me a free drink (at Jamba Juice, he wasn't hitting on me, LOL). I actually wasn't really expecting that much of a response, but they're doing everything right and I'm really impressed. I still get to drink Jamba Juice, yay!

This happened yesterday, but I'm still very happy today over it. I went to my local Quest Diagnostics to get my 6 month bloodwork done before my Endo visit on the 3rd of next month. And because at my last visit, my ID gender marker wasn't changed yet so, on the order it listed me as male. Well, the lady behind the counter, also being the technician who'd be drawing my blood looked at my driver's license then at the order and said "this ain't right" and changed the order to reflect my true gender, female. She then told me how lovely I looked and after taking me back while drawing my blood we had a very good girl talk. She said how she'd remembered me from before and talked about how much I've changed in the three months since she last saw me, and another technician who knew me came in looking at me in disbelief saying "Ally is that you!". Before I could reply the girl finished my blood draw saying "yes, that's her" and they both complimented me on how good I looked. Both of them then made everyone wait while we girl talked for almost another half hour. Things like this have been happening a lot tome lately. And though I always passed before, now I'm being treated just like one of the girls and I have to admit it feels pretty dam good. Yesterday was a great day!

Picked these up for a dollar, and another set for another dollar.
It's hard to type with them though!

I'll bet. But you know, actually I used to always have very long nails (I still don't cut them unless I have to, but its hard to keep them with my job), and I've always found it easier for me to do anything with them long, its when one breaks or tears that I suddenly have trouble such as with grabbing things.

Oh, almost forgot why I even came to this topic, duh. Back on the hormones again! Woo-hoo!  :D

I tried to think of something else that might have shone through, but today it was cats all the way. My cat woke me up by sitting on my chest and purring and breathing in my face, and we got to take care of and hang out with the neighbor cat who looks like a tiny leopard, and we visited with a lot of scruffy but affectionate neighborhood yard cats.

The anime con has been a heck of a lot of fun.
To my complete surprise, I seem to have a boyfriend.
