I think boobs go a long way towards making people see a woman, regardless of the rest. I know one time when I went out with my face still all covered in burned hair from laser (there's this nasty stage where the hairs haven't fallen out yet, but are dead and black and *really* obvious), I showed some cleavage and had some woman in a store say "oh, honey, my sister has the same problem, want to know a good salon that can wax that for you?" 🙂 In other words, it's actually possible to be taken as a cis woman with facial hair rather than a trans woman, too.
(And I have at least one cis friend who finally did laser to fix the fact that she had, no joke, MORE facial hair than I did. That was really tough for her, but no one doubted she was a woman, including herself.)
