is this better of a view? lol

I think you're getting there but in my opinion your hair is too short. Other than that, I don't see anything in particular that reads male, and your lips are totally feminine :)

There that's better Brianna, you have a nice shaped face generally and your full lips can be pretty sexy. You will probably have to look at some of those online eyebrow shaping tutorials and gradually shape them. You might need a little FFS some day, it's hard to tell in a straight on photo what the extent of your brow bossing might be, a side photo would expose any problem there, you know what I'm referring to, that kind of Neanderthal brow ridge that some of us get as a result of testosterone. I like your little ears, they are cute and set close to your head. Grow your hair out sweetie, if I was of your ethnicity I'd do for a real feminine afro, they look great and are pretty low maintenance and seem to be coming back into style.

If you shape your eyebrows, style your hair to give the illusion of more fullness and thickness (or wear a wig to see what you'd look like with long hair), smile, and you'll pass a lot better! FFS is a last resort option. You look great already, though! (:

Also, full on bangs would compliment you too!

I was going to say the same thing as Chic. Your eyebrows are giving you away. And a more female hairstyle with a bit more volume and length would make a difference.

Her point about smiling is important too. Women smile a lot more than men. And they usually tilt their heads slightly when taking pictures.

Smile. Very important. Don't look so darned stiff either, that's the stance of a man. Loosen up, relax, smile pretty. Your face looks dead serious, like dude, don't dare piss me off or I'll kick your ass type look. And yeah, eyebrows need some plucking (don't do this yourself unless totally confident in your abilities to shape them right). Okay said it. I was avoiding posting in this topic for a bit, but the lack of smiles here I couldn't not say anything for long. There are ways to take pics without smiling with your mouth too, its all about relaxing, think about something nice and fluffy, awe cute little bunny rabbit! Sometimes the inner smile will radiate out showing a soft gentleness on your face and in your eyes. I don't see any of that here. Being a girl is a tricky thing, took me years, I think I finally got much of it down just this year.

I rarely get any replies but ima try one more time.

1½ month on HRT

You look fine to me, serious, like any other big girl out there. At least from that pic. I always think, there's always potential with weight, because you already have the fat, so no hard edges, no veiny arms, adam's apple not visible, but you want to really feminize, get made up, a little bit of make-up, and get some style to that hair, put on something pretty (even if you are happy with your tee shirt) but not overly fanciful and if HRT kicks in well for you, you could be rather pretty.

Okay, seen latest post, ouch (my greatest fear ever since before starting hormones myself, I don't want to ever go bald!), okay, then a pretty wig will have to do, but something real. Sorry ('bout the hair).  :-\

I think your head is not at all too big, your neck is fine too and I don't see any evidence of your adam's apple so that's a plus. I don't see any problem with brow bossing either, if there is any then it's no big deal and something that can easily be concealed with makeup. I think your jawbone is a bit masculine, that corner below your ear can be softened via FFS, something that is quite common. Best plan though is to not rush into anything and see what kind of effects HRT has on your overall facial contours, you might be surprised.

Hair is a big issue as i am balding on top. HRT seems to be fixing that but time will tell if ill ever get to a point where it's passable :(

So right now i wear a headscarf everytime i go out.

And makeup is not something i can afford right now sadly due to a lack of a job. wish i could, would love to experiment!

Thx for the feedback!

The hard truth is that one of the side effects of testosterone is that it morphs into dihydrotestosterone which kills hair follicles on a genetic male head, along with genetic propensities for male pattern baldness there is no hope that it will ever grow back. Trust me on this, I have the tonsured look of a Franciscan monk myself and it's why I wear a cap. There are some wonderful wigs available and you would be surprised at how many of the real beauties that post here on the fabulous thread that are actually wearing wigs. I have seen some horribly cheap looking wigs and some very beautiful ones on MtF women, best to talk to a wig specialist for what type and style would work best taking your face and head size into consideration. Really serious transitioners may have several wigs.

MMm..k so here is me at current.  4 mo. HRT and I will go ahead and admit that last sunday for the first time, I went full time all weekend in a very busy tourist town, used my "correct" bathroom as well, with other girls and wasn't called out or stared at.  But, I still feel nervous inside even though I tried hard to assert confidence.  ::) I'm getting there though, lol.

2nd pic is from my 3rd mo. on HRT

3rd pic is from motel room as I was getting ready for my evening stroll with friends in St.Augustine, FL
on Saturday.

For only 4 months you look awesome. You've a very feminine body shame. Nice legs and hips. And your very pretty now, but once that hair grows out girl, your gonna need a stick or a body guard to keep em off ya!

Sincerely Tegan

Okay, it's been a while since I've been active, but I hope to change that starting now.

Anyway, still pre-HRT, but getting more confident with makeup. Thoughts, comments, suggestions, please?

Hugs,
Tegan

You could also try getting Propecia which may help. I am currently trying to get my doctor to prescribe me some, since I have pretty bad receding hairline and I am trying to save my hair before it gets to rough...plus Propecia blocks DHT and Propecia's side effects have been know to "help" with Feminization.

I figured if in the end if it comes to it, I may just shave it all off. The nice thing is with wigs you can easily change your hair style, and as people stated above a lot of them look really good and impossible to tell they are wigs.

Hello Tegan! You look very feminine, and HRT will make you even more feminine :3 and I bet you will have no problems passing. As suggetion goes, you shouldn't wear such a long shirt whith a skirt like that, because it eliminates your hips and you want to accentuate them (even though you will start with great hips already and HRT will make them even wider :3), but I understand that it's hard to wear pants if you can't tuck well (I can't for example, and I'm pre HRT myself), so yeah the only thing is that I htink you would look better with the shirt inside the skirt. Maybe wear earing too, with short hair it's easier to pass with earings :) but you look lovely already
