It's a nice wig. I remember the feeling of hair touching my  back the first time I put one on. The important thing is,  how did you like it?

Hugs, Devlyn

Very nice wig.  Better than my first wig [emoji6]   I can tell you like it by that smile.  One tip, it's best to get a color that matches or compliments your eyebrows.  Makes it look more natural.  But I love the style.

thank you so much for that advice :) i will get one that is closer to my eyes... so does that mean i shouldnt do highlights when my hair grows out?

I don't know much about highlights.  I'm sure you could do highlights.  Women do it all the time.  I've just heard getting a wig that goes with your eyebrows makes it look less like a wig.  You could always dye your eyebrows! [emoji1]

Theres something about it that doesnt look natural...I would pull it back a little, untuck the bang, and loosen up the waves.

It's a nice looking wig and it frames your face well, but the colour isn't right for you.

I think you need to go slightly darker. Getting the colour that works for your face/skin tone can take a bit of trial and error.

The wig looks great but seems I little too big. It also could be the angle of the shot or the lighting.

It is a nice wig but I agree with your own assessment that it doesn't quite look right on you - that might be for any number of reasons related to the wig itself (colour, style) and/or your face shape. Or it could just be the angle of the photo. Can't quite put my finger on it. My first reaction was that there is too much body at the end of the wig - if I look at only the top half it looks much more suitable, so yeah, maybe too many curls, dunno. I'm not a styling expert by any means but maybe someone can make it more suitable for you, I don't think much needs to be done.

I wore wigs for quite a while. I wasn't brave enough to go into a wig store and figure out what looked good on me; instead I bought cheap wigs off of ebay in various colors and styles until I found a color and style that I liked.

If you have the courage you can go to a wig shop and try on different styles until you find one that you like. If you don't - there is always the ebay route.

It takes courage to do this - you are doing fine  - find your style :)

What's the name of the thread around here? "Darling, you look fabulous!"...? Cause honey, you do. Rock that hair, girl!

As far as colour is concerned, I'm a natural redhead whose wig is black and purple, and it works for me. It ain't about others' opinions on it, it's about looking in the mirror and going, "DAMN I look good!"
To strive to reach the apex of evolution is folly, for to achieve the pinnacle is to birth a god.

When the Stryker fires, all turn to dust in its wake.

I think it looks great!

I recently bought a curl secret to get that same look.  My first try ended with my hair in the back of my head completely tangled in the machine with nobody here to help.  Looking back it is quite funny, at the time not so much.

Nice wig. Amazon is a great place to find different styles and colors for relatively cheap prices. The one in my current avatar was $10.99 and had free shipping. I've tried a number of different styles and colors trying to figure out what looks good on me. Once my hair is a little longer and my family commitment is passed I am going to make an appointment with a hair salon and I hope I will have a number of choices to show the hair dresser to help me make my final decision.

It all depends on the reasons you are buying a wig.  If it's to wear full time the key is for it to look natural and understated.    I wore one for almost a year, and nobody realised.  Here are my suggestions.

  • Avoid any store that offers party wigs - it's probably not the right place.
  • Expect to pay over US$400 for a good synthetic one.  Cheap wigs quickly start to look cheap after a few washes, unsurprisingly.
  • Go with a family member or a very close and honest friend.  They will advise you whether it look natural.  Trust me, you really really don't want one that looks "striking" - that's strictly for parties.
  • If you're not certain, don't buy it.  And careful with store assistants.  Some will sell you any old junk to make a sale.  Try a few and then leave and go somewhere else.  You will soon realise which one is the correct one.

Good luck
J
