After just having jaw and chin surgery; IMHO, unless your surgeon is not very aggressive, pain medicine is an absolute necessity.

I had a really square jaw that I was very unhappy with, and I wanted the other procedures done to compliment my new jaw, and to give me a freshened up look (freshened up look coming in the near future, lol).

I'm just wondering what pain meds you got, it would make me feel better knowing I'll have access to it if I need it. Is it Tramadol? Congratulations on your surgery BTW!!

Dr. Zukowski did my surgery, so I was able to get narcotic pain medicine. I also had masseter muscle reduction in my jaw, a neck lift, and fat transfer to my lips and nasolabial folds (smile lines), so I have extra pain and swelling.

As you will se from this tread I underwent forehead surgery, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, midfacepexia and thyorid cartilage reduction. I didn't have any need for painkillers.

Congratulations with the surgery, Kittenpower. Do hope for a very good outcome.

Time for a new update..
It's now 5,5 months since surgery. Regaining  more and more sensation at the top of my head, stil some strain at the forehead, nose is settling just fine, but still have a small lump right above my adams-aple after the thyorid cartilage reduction. I added some pictures taken just a week ago in addition to pictures 1 month after surgery and before surgery
