Pizza and hot wings delivered... It's my weekend and I enjoy the little things :)
Now if I can find a good movie I can maybe go from happy to totally content.

Yes it's 4am but I work nights so technically my days end at 10am and start at 5pm - that makes me happy too  :icon_razz:

Verification also just made me happy, "I think so" is not an accepted response to "are you human". I'll try a simple yes. :)

Watching the Breaking Bad marathon on AMC all day today. It's my biggest guilty pleasure! ::)

I got a new avatar for the forum :)  I like this one a lot more, my former one was depressing to look at.  This one is a lot more comfortable to post with for some strange reason, it makes it easier to just put my thoughts out there.

I filed my name change paperwork today!

Unfortunately it's a month until the one day per month that the judge hears civil cases out here in hicksville, then a minimum of three weeks more to out myself to the world via the local paper.  The ladies at the courthouse were super friendly and totally awesome about it.  Nothing more than a semi surprised eyebrow lift when she got to the reason part saying "give me girl name because me girl."  I was not presenting female at all.  Yet again, I got all nervous for nothing.

Colleen, congratulations on filing for your name change.  I am starting to think about doing the same along with gender marker etc.

On a virtually related note, Rachel Lynn's forum name changed to just Rachel today and that makes me happy.
Rachel is a cornerstone of this place.  Her post "MTF in need of help" which began 5 years ago inspired me to be more bold with my transition.  https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,133631.0.html

Thanks Kendra. Rachel inspired me as well along with a few other people. I'm in an "I'm tired of this so let's get it over with" mode right now. After the name comes birth cert, then passport, then finally driver's license.

Colleen, that's great.  I'm on the same timeline as you.  Filed last week, newspaper today and the next two weeks then a court date on October 11.  I can't wait.  Living full-time with male ID is risky.
Good luck.

Congrats on the progress!

I'm not even going full time until New year's. I travel for work and already make the TSA people eyeball me pretty hard since hair removal and HRT have changed my appearance noticeably. Having to explain three or four times a week is not something I want to do so I'm getting zee papers done first.

Watching "People of Earth" on TBS last night.

There is an unavoidable and somewhat comic analogy to be drawn between alien abduction and the struggle of  TG life, disclosure to friends and family as well as publicly, uncertainty initially of the reality of it.

Don't take me too literally here.

Riding my bike home from work today, a guy waved at me.  Then later another guy drove passed me real slow, turned around, and drove passed me going back the way he came, then waved at me and smiled.

Still not interested in guys, but it was nice being waved at anyway, never happened before.

A friend of mine who sells LuLaRoe just gave me two items: a shirt and a dress. On top of that, she gave me some LipSense. She's been wanting to give me some things, but felt awkward about it, but I assured my wife that she has nothing for which to feel awkward, since I'm open to discussing things (which, I think, is why she feels awkward about it) and that I think she's a really cool person. The next time we went over to her house, she brought me to her product room and told me to pick out two items and not to worry about paying for them.

On top of that, yesterday, Old Navy was having a 15% off everything deal and I bought a bunch of shirts and jeans. ^_^

I saw an awesome apartment in Chicago on Monday - going again on Sunday - but today, my wife (at least for now she is) has agreed to join me to give it a once over with a non-emotional eye.

SO... If ya'll come to Chicago, let me know and maybe we can do lunch.

First day of my two-day hair transplantation treatment, in Budapest, Hungary. Arrived 2 days ago together with my wife and two boys and extensively visited the city. Really pleasant and beautiful, despite temperatures of 37°C! Local goulash is reaaaally delicious!

First hair session, today, went super good. A few pricks from the local anesthesia and absolutely no pain anymore... amazing! Tomorrow is the second and last session. I'm doing the FUE technique, with 6000 grafts, my priority being to fully cover the lateral receding hair lines and maximizing the density in the middle; if any advancing of the hair line is possible, fine, but only after the two first objectives are fullfilled, because I'm having surgical hairline advancement anyways.

They let me choose a movie to watch during the procedure. I chose The Danish Girl... [emoji4]

Life is good... and despite being for the moment a bald girl, I'm happy! [emoji136]

Hugs, Sarah
