Got my new Drivers License today. Even the Gender marker is an "F". woohoo. :D

I'm looking at passport changes and confused at which form to use to get my Passport updated with name and gender.

So many listed, but none tell me exactly which. Anyone have an idea which form? DS-##

Hi Jessika!!!...I just got mine finally updated... The form you use will depend on some variables such as if it is a new passport and you did not have one before... A name/ gender change to a current passport or a name gender change to one that is expired! .... Yup!!! Government paperwork is fun!!!!... Actually the website was pretty straightforward and I had no issues!!!... Good luck on your quest!!!!

Onward we go!!!!

Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... Name and Gender changes (and initial application) have to be submitted on form DS-11. You also need to have an original doctors letter on letterhead.

Thanks girls,

I have DS-11 printed and ready to go. I'm going to wait until my SS Card comes in the mail so I can take it with me as proof. Should get it today or tomorrow. :)

A couple of days ago we opened some of our christmas gifts at home (hey it's hard to wait until the 25th :D). My bestie (who lives in my flat with her bf) gave me a lovely Swarovski bracelet and today I changed it for the one I really like:

You wouldn't believe the feminising effect these bracelets have! I love it!

Two months ago I came out to my small section at work. Today I sent out a email to the rest of the department about me.
I almost cried from joy because of the messages of support I got back.

The Oakland, CA Transgender Law Center publishes "ID, Please", a comprehensive guide to changing both California and Federal IDs. The back half is full of sample forms to guide you through the process.

They also have the "Quick Guide To Federal Documents " a bit less detailed version.
https://transgenderlawcenter.org/resources/id/id-please-quick-guide

Since you are changing both name and gender, you'll be submitting a DS-11 and supporting documents.

Read through those two publications, though.  Lots of useful stuff in there.

Megan.

All my neighbours came over for an evening of excessive food and drink, they all met Megan, most for the first time, and it was all fantastically normal 😊.

For some reason they returned all my supporting documents except my Doctor's letter... Oh well... In keeping more with the theme of the thread... I had a great run along the ocean on a gorgeous day and I feel pretty today!!! 😀

For the last week or so in my downtime at work I've been making rainbow colored bracelets from the discarded tethers/strings from earplugs. Thought about making one as a choker.

Started binging The 100 today. It's just the right kind of melodramatic for me.

I had a doctors appointment today at my local clinic. I was able to set up an appointment to meet with the prescribing doctor next week. I might be able to start HRT before the new year. [emoji16][emoji16]

So I had dinner with one of my dearest girlfriends tonight and we had the normal conversations about family and the holidays, then we started talking about how we were both looking forward to 2017.  It was at this point that I opened up to her about some of the surgeries I have planned for this coming year.  Now, I am a very private person, and do not ever talk about my past with anyone who did not know me before or during transition.  I do not want to presume that people do not know I am trans, but I just kind of live my life and it is not normally something that comes up.  But  I really wanted to share with someone close to me how excited I am about my upcoming VFS in February.  It is tough sometimes when you try to just be a girl but you want to share something important with someone who may not fully understand what it feels like to be trans.

Well as we spoke I told her about everything and how a mutual friend of ours is going with me to Seoul.  And she was so thrilled and excited for me, that I started crying tears of joy.  I must have looked like a wreck in the restaurant, but I really didn't care.  I was so happy to share something this important with one of my dearest friends.  Her love and support blew me away.  I was so happy to share some of my life with her.

This truly made me a very happy girl today.   :)

Oh My Gosh.

I think I just got the best Christmas present ever. I just spent the last 2 hours talking with my sister. During which time I came out to her. She was so accepting and in the end we were more open with each other then we have ever been.

We talked like real sister. She is even going to help me with learning how to do my makeup. We are going to have a bit of role reversal. She gets to be the big sister and teach me things I would have had to learn on my own then would have shared with her.

It's going to be so much fun. And she is totally cool about letting me continue to see my nieces and nephew.

Before leaving for work tonight, as I handed her lunch, tea, and keys to her, my fiance told me I was a good housewife!

I couldn't be more proud.

I'm finally becoming convinced that Estrogen is feminising my face.  It's not much, I still look annoyingly male, but I'm increasingly sure it's happening.  I'm getting a slightly more feminine face shape.  Woohoo!  Long may it continue!

Also, my boobs are starting to hurt again, so fingers crossed I'll be getting some more growth too.

Today I had another appointment with my psychologist and he told me that I could perhaps start hormones in just two months from now! Just the idea that I'm almost there is making me ecstatic! :D
