Yes, but technically the force of law comes with the matter being "recorded" in some treasure trove others can find.

Congratulations!

She told me I can not change my name anywhere until I get the final in the mail. Does that mean it was approved?

After two weeks I finally had a bm. Sometimes it's just little victories. I know this is kind of gross and I probably shouldn't have.   ::)  But doing this made me extremely happy because now I can skip a hospital visit.

Alora

I finshed up my first quarter of school today. I'm pretty sure I'm walking away with a 3.7 or better in all my classes. And I had a therapy intake appointment today...

Thanks to you ladies and your encouragement I found the courage to walk into that appointment and came out knowing I'm not some crazy guy with a fetish, but I am actually suffering from gender dysphoria. I am euphoric right now. I can't wait to find out what kind of woman Alora is going to become. I'm nervous about the future and how to tell my family, but I don't have to worry about that right now. I'm just going to take it one day at a time and enjoy discovering who my real self is.

Thank you everyone for your support.

Hi,
I had the appointment but the Final Judgement is going to be mailed to me in 2-4 weeks. I was surprised, thought I would get it right then and there.
I raised my Right hand, swore to everything and I was out in 2 mins. It was the Magistrates Office and it was 1 on 1.

She told me I can not change my name anywhere until I get the final in the mail. Does that mean it was approved?
I would think so.  Congratulations.  I'm starting to see the day for me.  Maybe 2018?

Did a hundred things today as Denise including going through TSA.  I think I caught only two or three people questioning my appearance, but I just smile and ignore them.

Oh another thing.... Using ladies restroom, check.

I love being home after a trip!!!!.... I was missing my little blind kitty!!!! ='.'=

My husband and I spent the last four days in Texas... We were stopping in all sorts of packed country dance halls,  BBQ places, cities, music venues and airports... Never got a second look from anyone... Onward we go!!!

Thanks for the sweet words Denise!... I may have received some "good" second looks along the way!!! :) ...  It is always hard for me to decipher what people are thinking when they look at me.

Onward we go!!!

The coat looks great!

In a week my second (new?) job is having a holiday party. Randi helped me figure out what to wear, told me I HAD to buy some new stuff (either a belt and leggings, or new boots) to make it work, and loaned me jewelry! So affirming!

(News about the job will be in a more appropriate thread.)
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

My friend, who I've known for 18 years, didn't recognize me as I was walking down a hallway to her until I was right next to her.
She told me she was thinking, "who's the new girl?"

My wigs finally came in. They look great but I can't wait to start HRT to soften my features. It was fun trying them on and I felt pretty good seeing myself with hair again. There's one more on its way and I think I'll like it the most, as it happens to be my natural hair color.  ;D
