OK, evidently I'm out of it. (Given my week it's not surprising.) This was a compliment for Jess.

I think I've made it over the hump.  It's definitely coasting/self-driving mode now.  I don't think I have much to be scared/worried/nervous on a social aspect anymore.

I'm comfortable!
Beautiful kitchen!(for a beautiful lady.)

Sorry!

However, Denise, that's a wonderful milestone! I'm in a similar state, but, sadly, I backslide.

(Thank you, Devlyn, for the prompt.)

I figured that it was meant for me.  Thank you so much!

Congrats Dee on turning the corner and being gendered correctly all the time.  It feels absolutely amazing when you get there.  I haven't been publicly misgendered in over a year now and I still get a thrill when someone addresses me correctly.  I'm sure that eventually I will just have a normal non-pulsed response, but I'm still in the thrill stage.

Thank you, Jess. The other good thing is that my boobs, though smaller than yours, have reached a size I can live with. They haven't stopped growing but if they did I'd be OK. I'd like my hips and waist to shift a bit, but, at least, I look pretty good in boot cut jeans and a crop top.

Being here, able to know I am not alone. Seeing that all those years of pain shedding away and my life beyond this day beginning anew.

Last week, I notified HR formally about my intent to transition and am waiting back to hear what I and they need to do.

I also received my correctly gendered driver's license so I am stoked and also have the paperwork to update my passport.

I never thought I would ever get to this place and this site and reading everyone's stories helped give me the strength to face the day as well as the tasks ahead.

Must have been nice to see your new license with an 'F' on it!  :)

It most certainly was.  I keep taking it out to look at it.

I received my first letter for bottom surgery today. I get my 2nd one next week from my primary therapist and my HRT will have the 3rd one within the next week or two. Everything is shaping up for my consult in 4½ weeks.

Went clothes shopping for the first time today at a very busy Target store.  Used the fitting rooms, tried on a couple pair of jeans (Yay I fit into a pair of size 8's with some room to spare even), spent over 40 minutes in the store looking at jeans, leggings, bras and tops.   Everyone I encountered both staff and customers were super friendly.  One little girl called me miss, the man in front of me in line at checkout pushed his stuff forward so I could fit mine on the belt and then smiled at me and said "there you go".  I'm sure I probably got clocked more than a handful of times, but if I did, no one let on.

Since getting my wigs, I'm really riding a wave of confidence.  I'm getting out more, just being me, and totally enjoying every minute I can find to do it.

While at a plant group meeting yesterday, we had a couple new attendees. A slightly older couple. It turns out that they live in the area I went to high school. There kids went to the same school, just many years later. At one point I had to use my extra height to reach something. She asked if I had played basketball.

"No, I am no good at sports," I said.

"When I was in high school, we didn't have girls sports," she responded.

I nearly said, "When I was in high school, I wasn't a girl." but decided to just run with it. That felt pretty good!

Driving on a sunny day, with the window down, radio turned up on my own. Made it to the shops, bit nervous but, I got what I wanted and really just felt like me :)

Went into a board meeting Friday with about 7 stuffy old executives. Im dressed to the nines and its the first time any of these individuals have seen me since I have gone full time. Well I have never seen so many faces drop to the ground at once. It was awesome!! Ya most girls would be worried about the response they would get but I carry a position where no one can say a thing. Its good to be the boss. I had one person quit instantly do to religious beliefs but the others all kinda gasped caught their breath and carried on. After the meeting was done everyone was comfortable and accepting of the new Boss. Its looking like the main shock is over for the next meeting so all is good. I can only imagine the conversations with wives at the dinner table that night.

It was one of the most empowering moments ever.

At my dental clinic, I was out to a couple of specialists but not all of them, and not to the people at reception. Eg. when I told my orthodoncist I was going to have facial surgery, she asked and I just came out to her because I thought it would be the easiest way to explain.

Today I felt I was fed up to wear the guy costume everytime I went there, so I decided I'd go as myself. It was awesome!! People acted in such a natural way, one might think they have trans* patients everyday! Seems that the news spread quick because some minutes later, when I was laying in the Chair of Terror and having some stuff done, staff would come in saying "I was just told Deadname is here but he came as a she and I just had to pop, say Hi and see how you look!"

They can't change my name in the computer because it's linked to my official identity but they found some place to put my new name. I can't wait to go again so they call my name!
