I bought three new bras today.  Not a big deal except that my old ones are compressive sports bras to minimize my assets under male clothes; the new ones are padded to enhance them under female clothes.  Planning to go full-time in about three weeks!  :)

I got my fingerprints done in preparation for my legal name change.  I now have a document from the cops with my fingerprints, my new name (and the old one), and a little "F" in the box for sex!  That F has no legal standing at all, it's just there because there was a box on the form, but I like it. :)

Haha - No! Thought I surprise them a little bit. Discovered an option in our HR portal a few weeks ago to change the preferred name / gender and this morning I finally had the courage to do it.
Will be interesting to see what happens.

OMG - TRIPLE WOW!

In my organization it changes EVERYTHING except payroll and medical.  EVERYTHING changed including Email, chat, Security name lookup (If you forget your ID and need security to let you in....  you might want to check on that one), it might trigger a new ID badge request...

I at least warned everyone 10 days before I did it.  Please let us know how it goes.  I'm very excited for you.

Ha - too late now. I already saw a ticket to update my email address. This really is happening. Totally excited right now! They did not even call or ask. Too funny.

I have to admit I am also quite scared tonight after the initial excitement. Called a few important people and customers to give them a heads up. So far so good. The tough ones are still on my list...

I wrapped up a system install in record time today thanks to easily trained customers that aren't idiots.  Which means I can take care of my other service call customer site a day early (these ones are actually idiots) and probably get home for a 3 day weekend.

I got my surgery recommendation letter today! Woohoo! I swear if someone told me how quickly the 1 year RLE would go I wouldn't believe them. So excited! Time to get some consults booked!

I ran into a coworker in the elevator and she texted my coworker, her boss, to say "She looks so great today!"   ^-^

That's great!

I went to the dentist yesterday to reschedule my appointment and the long time receptionist was totally awesome and she gave me a fist pump saying "that's great you look great... How are you spelling Denise so I can reschedule your appointment?". (to bad I need them to know me by my legal name for insurance billing proposes)

Very welcoming!

I was in a local second-hand clothing store that is having a going out of business sale.  The old business has already been sold and is being staffed by the new owners to clear out the inventory.  So we asked them what will be replacing it.

It's going to be a bra-fitting boutique!  Being in boy mode at the time, I resisted the urge to shout "Woo-hoo!!"  But I thought it.  It will be a great addition to the area.  I've got their opening date marked on the calendar, and I intend to be one of their first customers.  :)

I Am Jess

Had to go to the DMV to change my address on my drivers license. I made an appointment for this morning and it was a great experience. It only took about 15 minutes total time. I was able to get a new picture on my license.....not that I have changed much in the last couple of years.....

Thank you, Denise!  I'm really upbeat about it.  This will be the job I feel I can transition safely with.
