I went to a trans* beach party today and got poured on.  Obviously that stopped the party and we all left.  Two hours later I kept getting comments that people liked my hair.  I got caught in the rain!
Actually it does look pretty good.  Maybe I'll spend less time on it and let mother nature do something right for once.

I had dinner out with my 26 year old youngest daughter. Even better, she hugged me when we met and when she left. All major breakthroughs!

I also had a nice phone call from my son and text message from my older daughter, both of whom live well out of the area.

I'm happy.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

Had my five-monthHRT checkup today.  T level was double last time, but still well below the normal female level.  Estradiol level was half what it was last time, a bit below target range.  So I got a reduction in spiro and an increase in estradiol.  I'm happy with both changes.  The big spiro tab was a bitch to swallow, I was dehydrated all the time, and my blood pressure was low (90/65).  And my boobs have been dormant for the last two months, so hopefully more E will wake them up.  My kidneys have apparently been processing the S just fine, so my potassium and sodium levels are good.

What made me happy today was the date. It is my 40th anniversary of having SRS.

Yay me!  ;D

My partner who three years ago doubted she could stay with me is now sharing trans supportive stuff on Facebook.

:

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I'm feeling better this evening after having emergency oral surgery last Thursday! Though I mention that because I've spent a lot of time over the past several days resting and taking in my image. I feel this sense of pride I've never felt before and a sense of happiness I've never had. Sure I've been loving myself more and more since I started transitioning but now I realize something different and I really love this person I've become! Plus it's the beginning of summer! :0)

We are getting a load of firewood delivered and the guy wants to be paid in cash.  No prob, except the amount is over my daily limit for the machine.  So I went in to see the teller.

I give her my bank card, she swipes it, and then stares at the computer screen for a bit, with a puzzled look on her face.  Then she says, "This card you gave me, it isn't yours."
Me: "Yes it is. My legal name still is <deadname>.  I haven't been able to get it changed yet."
Her: "Oh, no, it's not that.  It's the age.  You aren't 62."
Me: "Yes, I am 62."
Her: "Oh, I'm terribly sorry."
Me: "Don't apologize, dear, you just made my day!"

She then asked what name I wanted listed in the computer as my preferred name.  People here are just so darned nice! :)

This was yesterday....

I got back on the tennis court for the first time after two and a half months post op! I hit with my partner for over an hour. Felt great. I am very rusty but I am sure that my game will come back. It was so great to be back at it. I feel like all I do is 'follow the schedule'.

The big spiro tab was a bitch to swallow,

FYI . . . been taking Spiro in a divided dose for years; a Tab in the morning and one in the early evening.  It keeps the level more constant in my system and you don't have to swallow any horse pills. . .;-)  I also do the same with Estradoil, again, to keep the levels in my system more even throughout the day . . . .

Congrats Jessika!!

Once you're post op you can have a happy moment like I had this morning.  I was kind of tired when I first woke up this morning and headed into the bathroom to go pee.  I sat down and for some reason I reached down out of 50 years of habit to push willy back and then started laughing because there is no willy to push.....I haven't done that since right after my surgery.

Hey Girl,

Thank you!

LOL, that is pretty funny.  ;D

I'm betting I will have that same "issue" Post-Op. ;)

Well I'm by myself for a few days so I went to Walmart to get a couple of things. First I realized that a single layer shirt, even a big tee shirt will no longer hide my chest.  ;) Secondly I picked up a 6 pack of my favorite Mexican beer. I get to the checkout line, the lady scanned the beer, looked at me and asked for my ID. Now I know Walmart's policy is card anyone that looks under 40 but I have not been carded for a long time there.
