That is so weird to think about. When I hear older people talking about the past or I see an old movie I always feel sorry for the people who lived back then . I think about them not having computers, cell phones, GPS, Twitter, movie and music streaming and I think how horrible it would have been to live back then with no technology. But then after I just read your post I thought of someone 19 years old like 80 years from now and they are gonna be thinking how sad and awful it was to live back in 2017. That's really freaky to imagine!
Hey Julia!
Your perspective on the passage of time will be constantly changing throughout your life!!!... Life without today's technology was different but in some ways less stressful and we enjoyed other things without feeling chained to all that tech has brought us... Information about things like being Trans was hard to come by though!!!!! Almost completely unheard of!!!
Today's tech will look like the Stone Age in two generations though!... Quantum computers are soon to be a reality and my fear as an oldster is that all this tech will be used in many ways to impose control and take away freedoms not support and enhance them... It will certainly be a challenging world to navigate but every generation has hurdles to clear...
There will come a time when you will think of these days as "the good ol' days" when life was simpler ... At that point you get to go out the front door in a bathrobe and yell.... "hey you kids!!!... Get off my lawn!!!" ...Although, perhaps by then all lawns will be required to be holographic to save water!!!...
Onward we go into the brave new world
