Random Charlie Day image search. The picture posted isn't really typical of him, just was part of a character. He is a comedic actor and writer, and that was just him in awkward scientist mode for Pacific Rim. Key take away from the image search for me? Even in the "Hollywood head shot" pictures where he has perfect hair and complimentary lighting, same as the other random guys posted, he conveys humor and personality. (Though to give credit where its due, that is also why people like Chris Hemsworth have such a large range of appeal. He has the model look but also a personality.)

Pitt and Cruise are just generational!
Celebrities are portraying a public image and persona, so they may be nothing like you thought they would be if you met them in person and got to know them.

My sister got married during the mid 80's and the day after the wedding I went to a party at her brother in laws house, and during th party my younger sister was talking with guy who told her that Patrick Swayze lived across the street, and asked my sister and her girlfriend if they would like to meet him, so I naturally asked if I could come with; anyway we walked up to the gate and the guy rang the buzzer and asked the person who answered if they could ask Patrick to come out to the gate, so he could meet a few of his friends.  A couple minutes later Patrick Swayze walked up to the gate; he had been doing chores around his ranch, and was sweaty, dusty, and wearing hip waders. He was so incredibly warm, friendly, and one of the nicest guys you could meet!

Oh, I know that a lot of it is persona certainly, but there is nonetheless a definite vapidity to the majority of actors and models. Case in point: when Jennifer Lawrence goes off script and talks about how she's so glad she dropped out of school to be pretty and famous (admittedly paraphrased). It doesn't mean they aren't nice people in general certainly as well, but then that doesn't always extend to being good romance material (Ewan MacGregor or Ben McKenzie come to mind).

Though I would say that Swayze is a far cry from a lot of the pin up types, even if he may have been one of them at one point he definitely fits more with the artist (dancer in his case) who happens to be attractive mold. One of the things that made him stand out from the start was his personality and warmth, and he was renowned for it. (It's a huge testament to that as well he didn't go through the usual Hollywood divorce cycle.)

I would also create a greater distinction in that there is often a large gap between legitimate actors (often trained at prestigious academies and have a history of background in theater) who by the nature of the industry do often rely on looks, but for whom their looks is secondary to their ability, and the "I'm hot, I'm going to move to NY or LA and be a famous actor/model" crowd. To pull from this specifically: https://imgur.com/mZnH9qf that guy is just a living mannequin.

Yeah, I actually prefer him more in these other pictures, but I do love the nerd glasses, and this was the first thing I ever saw him in.

I've always liked girls/feminine people who are bubbly, fun, attractive and have a great smile.
Yep that's basically it - I'll always take an interest in the rest of them if they have those qualities.

I've always been attracted to women, but I'm not looking for that kind of involvement in my life anymore. Nevertheless, every once in a while, someone flips my switch.  :) Looks are not that important. I appreciate a woman who's pleasing to look at, of course, who takes care of herself and presents herself well; but personality, intelligence and character are much more important to me than natural gifts. I've found myself attracted to women who weren't good looking -- including a trans woman on YouTube who didn't pass. Oh, my goodness, she was hot -- and it was pure personality.

I might be wrong but she was probably joking. She's one of those people who is sarcastic most of the time and has a self-deprecating sense of humor.
Latina :) I speak Spanish, English and a bit of Portuguese.

She's on the unapologetic side about that issue from what I've seen. It wasn't phrased quite as bad as I said it, but it really was the gist, though she didn't come out and say "Drop out of school, kids! You'll be better off!" or anything. Which I don't judge anyone for not completing school in the slightest, I mean I didn't do my own GED until I was 22, it's the calling to be an actress part that bothers me of it, as if she wasn't the tiniest of exceptions that were success stories. (And most child stars keep going to school regardless, so I thought it was a little odd she didn't. It's often even in contracts I believe is that minors have to be attending school.)

CallMeKatie

My ideal dream girl

Someone who is very kind and patient and will take the mickey out of me and be able to know when I say something a bit mean, I am completely joking.
Someone who is extremely comfortable being in silence just cuddling without feeling weird about it.

Somewhere around 5'7", dark brown hair which must be straight and a bit longer than shoulder length.
Not skinny and carrying a tiny bit of weight, breasts I don't care about much, can be any size but I do like a slightly bigger bottom on a girl.

Yeah, I heard that the ones that aren't breathing take up too much time because you have to use the shock paddles to get any reaction out of them.
