Tuesday, April  30, 2019, 8:25AM

I am enjoying the longer daylight hours now... it is changing dramatically, each day now, up to 4 or 5 minutes Earlier SUNRISE and up to 4 or 5 minutes later SUNSET times.
This morning the sunrise was at 5:22AM and tonight the sunset will be at 10:14PM  .... all of us here in my town are no longer "night creatures"... we can be seen out working in the yard or out walking around town in the early morning hours or later in the evening time.

Wow... tomorrow is May 1st already, and finally it seems that winter is gone for the most part.  This morning as I write this it is now 35 degrees F but later today it is supposed to get up into the low 60's !!!!
.... but I won't get too excited because later this week on Friday the temperature will plummet back down into the 30's and we will be getting some SNOW showers... but I think that will be the last of "winter" for months to come until the Fall season again.  I am certainly enjoying the longer days now...

Thank you for all of your good wishes regarding my Tooth-Fairy ....
....since all of my followers know from reading my threads, she is my Dental Hygienist Suitor #4 and from now on I might only refer to her as my Tooth-Fairy.

The injury to my back and resulting back pain is doing much better now, thankfully no surgery is required, just some Physical Therapy after a few rounds of Prednisone anti-inflammatory, my doctor is happy with the results and tells me that I will be good as new in a few more weeks and that I can resume my normal activities.
I am already making summer plans for some hiking, camping and a few marathons and charity runs... as I have done in years past.

Again, thank you for your kind comments and replies here on my thread and around the Forums.

Hugs and best wishes, I am grateful to experience your friendship and support.
Danielle

Hi Danielle,

That is very good news about your back pain!  Hope you can resume normal activities soon!

I'm home working on the garden even though it is a bit wet to do that today.  But, it is tolerable with warm polyester clothes.  I have the wardrobe to dress for success!

Dear Danielle -

What a great update. I am glad your days are longer and you finally get some much needed sunlight.

The best news is the progress of recovering from your back injury. I was still worried that a lot of your beloved outdoor life would be disturbed by this, lucky enough it all seems to be working out well, and you are already making plans.

I hope your tooth fairy will cheer you on your marathons or even run with you, I know she will join you on the hiking trips.

Hugs -

Sarah

Wow Danielle! It's 61 degrees in SoCal as I write this. It just seems interesting that we're having the same temperatures on this day, even if it's just for a day.

I'm glad to hear your back is doing much better. It's a good thing, as nobody wants to go through that kind of surgery.

Sending big hugs to you and your Dental Hygienist Suitor #4 (Tooth Fairy).

Yay, I am glad to hear that your back is gradually feeling better.  With summer coming on, and all kinds of outdoor activities, it's not a moment too soon.

A beautiful day today !!!

Here is a picture I took outside on my deck at about 5:10AM ...about 5 minutes before Sunrise this morning.
Today is bright and sunny and temperatures will be in the low to mid 60 deg F range... a heat wave!
   (left click picture to enlarge)

In spite of the nice weather lately, the weather-man is still calling for cold/below and near freezing temperatures
and SNOW on Friday!  Quite a contrast in weather events for sure.

After work today I am planning to take a long 3 or 4 mile walk with my Tooth-Fairy.  It will feel good to get some decent exercise after all the rest I have had getting my back healed up.

Then tomorrow I will be with my Gym-Gals group for our gym visit and a casual late lunch or early dinner all together.
Lots of good fun and conversation for sure.

***NOTE:  I trust that all of my followers are going to have a good day today.  I would love to hear from you about how your day is going.

Thank you for reading and following.
Hugs,
Danielle

***NOTE:  I trust that all of my followers are going to have a good day today.  I would love to hear from you about how your day is going.

I had my first electrolysis session in a month today.  Between scheduling conflicts and my electrocutioner being away for two weeks, I missed the whole month of April.  My upper lip was getting quite dark with 5 o'clock shadow in the interim, to the point that I needed concealer on it, so I am glad to be getting back into a regular routine.

I dropped off my new HRT prescription at the pharmacy.  They don't keep the good stuff in stock, so it will be tomorrow or Friday before I can pick it up.  But by the weekend, I should be off spiro (squeeee!!) and on cypro.

So I am feeling pretty good.  Now, if the weather would just warm up!.  The polar vortex has parked itself over the Labrador Sea, so our winds are coming straight off Baffin Island and Labrador.  Things are getting green, but the temperature struggles to get up to 10C in the afternoon.

In anticipation of warmer weather eventually, we are planning to build a covered deck on the shady side of our guesthouse / storage room.  We had an excavator in this morning to prepare the ground for it.

@KathyLauren
Dear Kathy:
Thank you for your reply.
Yes indeed, it feels good to have my life back in a couple of ways.   Since tax season ended after April 15th a couple weeks ago I am thankfully done with the super-long hours and working 6 or 7 days a week that I had been doing for a couple months and along with injuring my back falling on the ice getting to my office it has taken me a couple weeks to get back to a somewhat normal schedule for my business and finally starting my social life again.  I was just very weary and worn out.

Yes, indeed, I had a great walk with my Tooth-Fairy last evening... daylight till well after 10:30 last night.
Today I am going to the gym with my gym-gals group early this afternoon and then out to a late lunch or early dinner with all of them... it is so nice to have a group of close and accepting friends.

I hope that your electrolysis session went well for you... were they able to do everything you wanted yesterday or will your require a followup visit real soon?  .... or not for a month or two?

I am glad to read that you will be changing you T-blocker to Cypro... although I never did have any problems with taking Spiro>>> I just had to eat more pickles!!!  ;)
Hopefully you won't have the same bad side-effects that you had with Spiro.

Oh yeah, regarding the weather, it has been a strange winter just about everywhere in Alaska, Canada and the USA.  That darned Polar Vortex raised heck with the weather and temperatures.
Today is considerably colder than it was yesterday...  the temperatures are not quite reaching the mid 50's (F) and tomorrow on Friday it is supposed to be colder still... in the high 20's overnight and eventually in the low 30's (F) and SNOW is forecast.  I guess that the Month of May is starting out like winter is still here.   Hopefully that will be the end of it...   I am glad things are greening up for you, but not here, not yet.

Regarding the covered deck you are planning to build... and the excavator... are you planning to operate the machine? ???
If I remember correctly, last year you had posted a picture of yourself on a similar machine... unfortunately I never got my act together to publish the "Hot and Sweaty" picture montage of contributing members that I had been planning.....   bad me!!!

Again Kathy, thanks for your reply, I trust that you will have success getting your GRS scheduled soon.... and maybe soon hopefully you can get on a new prescription of Progesterone when your doctor finally OKs it.

Hugs and best wishes as always,
Danielle

No such luck!  I am still on a weekly schedule.  But she was able to remove all the "shadow" on my upper lip.  So we are caught up.

The machine they brought yesterday was similar to the one I rented and operated last year.  But the big issue this time was having the mud and some demolition debris hauled away.  I don't have a truck, so it was easier to get a contractor in to do the whole job.

May 03, 2019, 6:30AM, The Weather Forecast was right!

I woke up early this morning to an inch or more of SNOW on my deck and in my yard...
....it is now 6:30AM here and it is still coming down.

The temperature is hovering around 30 deg F and it is supposed to keep SNOWING until this afternoon.  I guess that gives me a pass to skip any spring cleanup yard work that I might have planned!!!

I trust that wherever you are that your  May 3rd  Spring weather is better than mine.

Hugs,
Danielle
