For our Third Anniversary we went to see the ballet "Coppelia" with my Girlfriend. My youngest daughter and her boyfriend came too and we had a great evening. We all enjoyed it so much that I got 10 tickets for "Die Fledermaus" on the 1st of May, so this time we can bring all her children and mines.

Well I was leave for my support meeting last night a youg neigbour said to me "When you dress like a girl you look like a girl." That was so nice - my neigbours are very understanding.

What a Neat Thread.

This was a neat way to learn more about many of you all. Thank you for sharing.

I'll share sometihing too. I have come out of a depression that has gripped me for the last few months and am enjoying the sun shine again. It was a beautiful day. Spring is being strange but today it looked more like itself.

Smiles,

My wife and I met with a marriage counselor yesterday after a very difficult weekend for us. It was good.

Afterward we stopped for coffee and held hands and she told me I should grow my hair long and maybe get my ears pierced.

Karen "tango yankee victor mike" for the whiskey tango foxtrot" comment you used earlier on this thread I hadn't thought in those terms for that in years.

Yesterday I went over to Melissa's apt. to wait for her to get home from work, after an enthusiastic greeting on both our parts, which resulted in me handing the IM I was on when she walked in over to her to talk to as I put clothes back on. We went out to dinner at a Sushi restaurant she likes. I now like sushi where the times I had tried it before it wasn't good, this time it was wonderful. We came home, then as I was dancing around the place I dragged her off to the bedroom, resulting in her having to close out of a email real quick heehee, ........, eventually we then watched "a man among wolves" and she fell asleep in my arms. Resulting in a night full of precious memories to cherish.

My son who is back home from England is starting a new job next Monday. So today I "miched" work. Instead, with Eileen (my girlfriend) and Alex (my son) we went to St Anne's. We walked through the forest and had a picnic at the Mill-race by the Liffey. I watched a huge salmon coming up and leaping over the rapids. With Eileen we took our shoes off and stood with our feet into the freezing water listening to the roar of the river and the songs of the birds until we were tingling all over. Then still barefeet we walked through the meadow following the ballet of the bees and buterflies and running after frolicking rabbits. Then tonight I gave a Totem-pole session to 2 of her friends from her women's group. They enjoyed it so much that they have signed up for 6 more sessions.

PS And a few minutes ago, when opening my email, I discovered that I had won the UK, the Nederlands and the Italian Lottery. President Aristide's widow from Haiti, an official from the Nigerian State Oil Company, a bank official from the Ivory Coast, a Russian businessman and a notary from South Africa, each want to deposit millions of dollars in my bank account and give me a heafty percentage for my troubles. Isn't life great?  ;)

I get to start using the Women's Room at work now as of... well... whenever I get the courage to go in ;)

It's single-use, so not a big deal. STILL though... being banned from the room for 16 years... it's... sorta scary.

It's been re-labelled Unisex, but it's really a formality - no men are gonna ever use it. There IS a new "Women's Room" too which I was also told I could use - but it's like on the opposite side of the building.

Amazing how wonderous something so *simple* can be, ya know? I'm afraid to use it, lol, as I KNOW I'm going to start crying in there, lol... just the symbolism of what I've done this last year... omg I cannot believe all this, it's like I'm dreaming...

Kate, I know what you mean. I know it's not the same but when I'm at work alone I use the women's room. I feel like I'm sneaking and can only imagine what it might feel like to use it in the open (so to speak lol). Every little thing that affirms who you are...

Hooray for you!!!

So, I kind of met a guy last night.

I was at my local pub, sitting by myself waiting for my friends to arrive (they are always late, they never seem to get somewhere until at least half an hour after they say they will), dripping wet because I'd walked there through the rain. And he just came up to me, kind of nervous, and asked if it was OK if he bought me a drink.

We sat together and talked for ages. He evenually had to leave to meet up with someone at the train station, so we exchanged numbers, and I made it very clear that I wanted him to call me. I wish he could have stayed though - I could listen to him talk all night. He has what I can only call the the sexiest voice I think I've ever heard - just listening to him talk was enough to make me feel like I was melting.

And he's not half cute, either  ;D.

Refiled my legal name change last week due to a clerical error. This has helped me to sink into a depression and limbo (which i am not really used to at this point) for more than 2 months now - i was stuck and couldn't move in so many ways....
Ahhhhh..... a thousand pounds taken off my back and shoulders... Now i can move again and get the rest of my documents finished within the next couple of months......

Also, my wife and I went to the Ocean for the first time since i began my transition - more than 2 years now - we started at the sea, as friends becoming lovers more than 12 years ago... Many of the best parts of ourselves have always been deeply connected to the Sea. It goes so deep and intense that i cannot even begin to tell it all here. This weekend we went with two of our best friends, on a spur of the moment - threw caution and budget fears to the wind and just WENT.

We all got a nice room together, and at 3:00 in the morning on Saturday night, I was running across the beach into the Atlantic Ocean in April (O.C. Maryland - maybe 45 degrees), my sister in law watching in stunned amazement, as i stripped to nothing but my bra and panties, and dove in -
i told her the Sea was calling to me and i HAD to go - no matter how cold or dark it was - she grew up in the islands, and totally understood.....  :) :D ;) ;D 8)

Tomorrow (today) is our 12th anniversary, and we are still together, almost 3 years into my changes. Maybe there is still hope. It was good to go back to our special place together after so much trauma and torment of recent years for both of us.

Always,
LoveForever,

Annagirl
