District 9 is one of my favorite movies! Not the top favorite, I save that spot for Trainspotting, but it's pretty high on my list.
It amazes how so much was down with such a low budget, and done with friends and loved ones.
Argh, and I really enjoyed how incredibly human the main character was... he was so selfish and yet was still able to redeem himself!
The whole xenophobia aspect of the movie is a wonderful lesson to come upon too, but I can only wonder how many got distracted from this point by the action. It's something all of the human race seems to experience, at least some of us are able to break free from such ridiculous fears.
