I must say, in the beginning i hated Matt Smith. Now i think he's much better than Tennant.

Yes please  ;D

Wouldn't say never, Colin Baker appeared as Maxill in the Peter Davison story Arc Of Infinity before being cast as the 6th doctor. Also producers in the past have shown interest in actors who have appeared before in the show to take the part. So not likely but not something that could be said will never happen. If anything only reason he couldn't do it is his schedule and as such probably wouldn't be on the show long anyway.

I was not the one to add the writing to the image  :D I think you're spot on.

Apparently 7PM (GMT) this Sunday BBC will be broadcast a live television event where they will reveal who will be playing The Doctor next!!!  ;D

I think it's kind of lame that the re-generation will happen again in a Christmas special -_-

So how about Jeremy Clarkson?
Already works for the BBC...
And has a terrible dress sense
Thus a perfect fit!
;D
So long and thanks for all the fish

The bookies have stopped taking money on Peter Capaldi (Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It).  Top actor, Dr Who Fan, and has worked with Moffat before.  Either that or it's someone you've never heard of.

Tom Baker is hugely popular in the UK and was my generations Doctor.  He was however, particularly towards the end of his tenure "difficult".  He got mixed up in the Soho Drinking scene with the likes of Jeffrey Bernard and felt that Who was his to write, direct and muck about with.  After seven years it became his show and he almost felt he could adlib at will.  His autobiography is very enlightening.

that said, the man is a legend and the definitive Doctor.

i lost my online feed. Too slow. ->-bleeped-<-, ->-bleeped-<-, ass, ->-bleeped-<-, jizz.

That sucks :/

It's Peter Capadi. I have never seen him act, so i have no idea what he's going to be like. He's looks a lot older.

Capaldi was also in World War Z. He played a doctor....working for W.H.O. Very clever indeed.

What does everyone think of him? I for one can't make a call for sure on this one until I see some acting as The Doctor from him. This had better be good, Moffat.

:o That's unbelievable. I have yet to see World War Z, but i want to  :-X

I am not going to write him off. I watched him in 'The Thick of It', i believe, as Malcom Tucker, he talks fast and swears a lot, i doubt swearings going to be a new thing, but i would find it funny  >.<

Was wondering if someone was going to mention the World War Z, W.H.O, doctor connection albeit just a coincidence.

He's looks a lot older.
And a lot less cuter than Matt Smith too! :-\  All I have to say is he better know how to act.  ;)

Now officially tied for oldest actor to play the doctor with william hartnell who was also 55 when he was cast and also the first actor since Colin Baker to be older then his predecessor when cast, the total is four actors are older then their predecessors when cast. As for acting I am sure he does since he is the first actor to play the doctor who has won an Oscar.
