How To Train Your Dragon. It was surprisingly gender-inclusive!

Seemingly Christopher Walken is about as blind as a bat and has to wear very thick glasses. His far away expression when acting is due to the fact that he can't see anyone else on the set when he takes his specs off.

Seems like I'm getting there, the macular hole in my right eye's vision seems to be slowly getting worse. Glad I have two eyes!  ;D

Django Unchained: Film about a slave turned bounty hunter. Went into it thinking I would like it but ended up loving it. 5/5

Rescue Dawn: Christian Bale stars as a pilot in Vietnam who ends up a POW. I enjoyed it but wish there had been a lot more action. 3/5

The Patriot: Mel Gibson's epic about the Revolutionary War. One of my favorite films...I can recite it word for word. 5/5

We sometimes got some good movies coming from regular TV channels. Last night it was Kill Bill vol. 1 so of course I watched it. ;D

Scratch and sniff for food commercials?
I love the Macy's ads in the sunday paper because they smell nice. :)

I got Lost Boys and Chronicles of Narnia at a pawn shop for 2 dollars. Lost Boys always makes me happy but I haven't seen the Narnia film yet. I loved the books so I'm hoping it won't be a letdown.

I went out to see "The Hobbit"after the holiday rush was over. I loved the film but I was bit upset that it was only Part 1 :(  When does Part 2 show?

Part two will be released Dec. 13, 2013.

Part three will be released July 18, 2014.

Of course, that is what the release dates have been set to as of now. They could change.

Peter Jackson was thoroughly lampooned on SNL last night because of his 3 part Hobbit adaptation.   The parody was a preview of all 19 parts of the Hobbit.  I'm no fan of recent SNL casts/writing, but this was done quite well.

On topic - I just watched "Mars Attacks".  Hadn't seen it since it first came out in the theaters.

Dredd

A surprisingly good movie.  The characters were interesting, the story was fairly solid, and the movie as a whole was decent.  This movie has one of the best villains that I've seen in a long time.

We're watching old Goldie Hawn movies tonight. So far we've watched "Bird on a Wire" and "Overboard".

The Woman In Black (the new-ish one). It was dull, and not scary at all.

I watched the movie of Strangers With Candy. A silly waste of time but it was kinda fun. Sorta.

I went to go and see the Hobbit; it's the first film I've seen in 3D, so that was DEFINITELY good. The film itself awakened all my Tolkien love. The scenery was great, the actors were great, the music was spectacular, and all the in-jokes were greatly appreciated. Very good evening out. :)

Lincoln, Daniel Day Lewis as expected was brilliant in the title role, and is probably the mental visualization i'll have of the real man from now on. But I have to say the real surprise for me was Tommy Lee Jones as Thaddeus Stevens, very good performance imo.

I have been house sitting the last two weeks for my friend while she went to bali with her girlfriend's family and she got back yesterday and we watched The Beautiful Exotic Marigold Hotel together, the night before I watched Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes The Game Of Shadows back to back and night before that I watched TinTin and The Blue Oranges.

I couldn't put it better myself, Dredd could never be taken as the creater's of the comics intended for in hollywood but all in all it was fun and Ma Ma was totally cool villain.

Last movie i wached was Adaption, not for everyone but it is completely brilliant. It's hard to put in words why, which is one of the points of the movie from the main character (a exagerated version of the real screenplay writer). Defenitely one of my favorite movies.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.
