Title: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Crow on July 13, 2010, 02:38:06 PM
Since the last art exchange was a hit, it's been decided we make a tradition of this!

What is an Art Exchange?
QuoteBasically, it's like a "Secret Santa" event, except with art. People sign up and post references for what they want drawn. You could ask for art of a character of yours, your favorite animal, yourself or a friend/family member/pet, a character they like from a book/movie/game/etc... even a theme ("draw me something involving violins" or "Norse mythology" or "gender dysphoria") Anything, really. Whoever is hosting the event (in this case, me) will secretly match up participants and private message each participant telling who they're drawing for. You then have a certain amount of time (usually around a month is standard) to draw whatever that person wants drawn. Once you finish your picture, private message it to me so it's kept secret until the big reveal-date. Once everyone has sent in their pictures, I will create a board with everyone's lovely artwork on it so people can collect their art and thank whoever drew for them. (A lot of times people like to play a guessing game to figure out who drew for who.)

Anyone can participate! You don't have to be the world's greatest artist, as long as you put some effort into your part of the exchange. It's about fun and community and gift-giving, not about collecting professional-quality art. Don't feel bad if you aren't the best artist and don't throw a tantrum if the person who drew for you isn't.

On that note, it would be nice for everyone to at least do a finished picture with coloring (or shading, as the case may be for those who do greyscale) or a background. I know some people have a hard time with backgrounds-- you're not expected to draw full-blown scenery or anything if you don't want to. Just a pattern or something will work, as long as you do something to fill the background to give your picture has a more finished feel to it. That way, we don't have half the participants getting masterpieces and the other half getting tiny headshots and uncolored sketches. Just to be fair.

Sounds like fun, right? And the boost the exciting-factor, we now have an (optional) theme: Fantasy! However, if you don't care for fantasy but still want to participate, fear not! You are welcome to interpret the theme in whatever way you want or simply not adhere to it at all-- it's intended to boost inspiration, not block it. You are encouraged to participate in the theme to add to the community fun, but you are by no means required and shouldn't feel guilty if the current theme isn't quite your thing.

Additionally, we now have a system in place to hopefully prevent AWOL artists:
There is now a participant list at the bottom of this post. Participants who have finished their art will have their names bolded. Approximately a week before the deadline, anyone who still hasn't sent in their art will receive a friendly reminder via PMs from me.

If someone still hasn't finished their art by the deadline, they will have to sit out the next exchange unless they have a valid excuse for not being able to finish. ("I had art block/was busier than I expected" is not a valid excuse; "I was kicked out of my house/grounded from the computer/hospitalized" is a valid excuse.)

A substitute will then be called in to draw for the person that participant was supposed to draw for. The substitute will then have a week to draw a replacement picture. People willing to be contacted as a possible substitute can make note of this in their initial sign-up posts—this does not obligate you to substitute. It just means you are open to the possibility and willing to be contacted about it.

If at some point you do realize you are unable to draw for the exchange, please tell me sooner rather than later, since the sooner I find out, the more efficiently I can remedy the problem!

______________________________________________________

If you want to sign up, just fill out this form and post it on this board:
QuoteYour Name: (what you go by)
What you want drawn: (your characters, fandom characters, yourself/friends/pets, favorite animals, specific themes... you name it, just make sure you include any references people might need to draw what you want drawn)
What you can draw: (humans, animals, "anthro" characters... tell me what you draw so I have someone who only draws humans trying to draw someone's pet cat)
Examples of your art: (again, so I can match people more accurately and don't have a horror artist drawing cute fluffy bunnies... links to a couple representative pieces or to DA/Photobucket/other art site account will do)
Willing to Sub: Yes/no

The deadline for sign-ups will be July 23, 2010, so you have about a week to sign up. I'll then sort people and have PMs sent out within a couple days, and you'll have until August 30, 2010 to finish your art. Handouts will be a week later, on September 6, 2010.

Since most of the info is covered in my sign up for the first exchange-
Quote from: Osiris on May 08, 2010, 07:10:33 PM
Name: Osiris
What I can draw: I will occasionally draw with pen and ink (never with pencil) and tend to have a cartoon style. I don't draw often so I'm kinda rusty. More recently I've worked on CGI art and playing around with making random objects, Example: Key Chain. (http://osiriszoso.deviantart.com/art/Nowhere-to-go-163208691). I've also started playing around with making sort of anthropomorphic characters Example: Cheetah/Woman Portait (http://osiriszoso.deviantart.com/art/Portrait-of-a-Warrior-163264144). I also paint in oils and acrylics Example: Koi Fish (http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh125/osiris_zoso/Photography/Fish1NTsm.jpg). Which technique I will use will depend on what subject I get and which one I feel is the best to execute the image.
Examples of my work: For more examples of my work you can visit my deviant art page http://osiriszoso.deviantart.com/ (http://osiriszoso.deviantart.com/)

What I want drawn: A fantasy creature of some sort, I'd like it to have horse-like features if possible and to look BAD ASS! :D

Post by: Tree on July 13, 2010, 02:53:54 PM
    Your Name: Tree
    What you want drawn:
any of the following:
- a luna moth
- a quaking aspen tree
- a quetzal (this bird: http://www.1-costaricalink.com/costa_rica_fauna/wildlife_images/resplendent_quetzal.jpg (http://www.1-costaricalink.com/costa_rica_fauna/wildlife_images/resplendent_quetzal.jpg)). (side note: physical characteristics of animals of different sexes are confusing. oh, wildlife.)
What you can draw: give me anything except ppppleeease not a cityscape/something with a lot of buildings/straight lines/angles
Examples of your art: I live at http://So-Normal.deviantart.com (http://so-normal.deviantart.com)
Willing to Sub: Nope, sorry. D: I have another exchange going on and I have some 25 drawings left!

...Hi Diane~!

Post by: Crow on July 13, 2010, 03:41:01 PM
Your Name: Diane
What you want drawn: Your interpretation of a spirit of rebirth and renewal based off of or somehow inspired by a M>-bleeped-<ie (http://www.dungevalley.co.uk/Birds/m%3Ci%3E%3E-bleeped-%3C%3C/i%3Eie.jpg) (possibly but not necessarily playing off the fact that m>-bleeped-<ies are scavengers) interacting with a spirit of nurturing and safety, based off of or somehow inspired by some kind of seahorse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seahorse) or leafy/weedy sea dragon (http://www.google.com/images?q=leafy%20sea%20dragon&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&rlz=1I7SUNA_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi). You can make them as animal-like or humanoid as you wish (Fairies? Dragons? Anthro? Spiffed up, magical m>-bleeped-<ies and seahorses? Whatever else comes to mind, really?). Both, however, are genderless (and sexless) spirits.
What you can draw: Animals, anthro characters, humans
Examples of your art: My DeviantArt (http://ninetails390.deviantart.com/)
Willing to Sub: Sure (as long as nothing unforseen comes up, but I guess that goes without speaking... also, why am I being so specific-- I already know what I think, because I'm the one running the exchange!)
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Pica Pica on July 13, 2010, 03:44:41 PM

    Your Name: Pica Pica
    What you want drawn:
Something floral - not roses, maybe dandelions and daisies but not twee either, can be a whole daisy city if you want, or dandelion monster - or whatever.
What you can draw: I am not much of an artist so most of what I draw is a simplified - linear version of whatever it is I'm drawing.
Examples of your art: I don't have anything, maybe I should set something up. I get a big black pen and doodle and play, then I take little pens and fill in little details and stuff. I very much like the result, it's doodly.
Willing to Sub: Ok, but don't put me first in the sub queue or nuffing.

Lots of sign-ups already! How exciting~

One question, though: Pica, are there any specific kinds of subject matter that you really do/don't like to draw? As in... Animals, anthros, humans, objects, landscapes... any that sound especially appealing or particularly nightmarish?
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Pica Pica on July 13, 2010, 04:28:50 PM
I'm guessing i don't really want to draw anthrostuff, or anything with a need for photorealism
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Coppélia on July 14, 2010, 03:30:57 AM
Your Name: Coppélia
What you want drawn: A man with the following characteristics:
-the head of a horse
-a hummingbird proboscis
-camel feet (not camel toe)
-a forked tail
-a slingshot made of bananas
-John Lennon glasses
-Abe Lincoln's Top Hat of Truth
-a billowing Skirt of Justice
-a shirt that reads "Lincoln NB or Bust"
-holding a tennis racket in one hand
-making a peace sign with his other hand (which is enveloped in flame)
-a set of fly wings on his back
-a pet vampiric rabbit
-tinkerbell and another fairy floating overhead with a bag of pixie dust saying "16 kilos? That's it?!"
-I forgot the antlers!
-...I think that's everything. Feel free to add more if the fancy strikes you.
What you can draw: People and some animals (horses, dogs, cats, wolves with difficulty, and skunks...oh, and dragons!). I am very much out of practice so it might take me a few tries to get anything right.
Examples of your art: I've been meaning to upload some stuff to my deviantart account but I haven't yet. Though as you can see per my picture, I have made batman happy in photoshop.
Willing to Sub: Maybe, only if absolutely necessary.

Gee Coppélia, I wonder if you were specific enough in what you want drawn. :D
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Shang on July 14, 2010, 11:44:17 AM
Your Name: Gabriel/Shang
What you want drawn: I would love to have a nice anthro character of a male Archaeopteryx (http://kentsimmons.uwinnipeg.ca/16cm05/1116/34-27-Archaeopteryx-L.jpg) trying to put on girl's clothing while his buddy, a dragon, kind of looks on with amusement.  However, if that's not possible, I'd like a guy who's:
-tall
-slender
-feminine
-long black hair with blue streaks
-blue eyes
-putting on girl's clothing, or attempting to
-cute
-fangs, two of them on the canines
-large wings--black, dragon-like or bird-like.  If bird-like, shaped like a bird of prey.
-tail and ears, not canine.
What you can draw: I can't draw humans, unless you want a profile.  I can try and draw just about anything, just give me a reference picture and I can't draw movement or 3/4 things too well.  I'm better with things that don't have fur.
Examples of your art: Leafy Sea Dragon (http://dragonceleste.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2gbg1i)
Dino-Dragon Thing (http://dragonceleste.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2gjwea)
Terra (http://dragonceleste.deviantart.com/art/Terra-WIP-II-171611486)
Willing to Sub: No

--Forgot this was fantasy so I'm adding in a few bits--

Lol and you with your very specific BAD ASS fantasy creature of some sort :P

I actually had to draw that same "guy" several years ago, and I want to see what someone else's interpretation will look like. I named him the "Super Elk" because...of the antlers I forgot to put in the list :D Thank you my dear Osiris for helping refine what I want drawn

Your Name: SilverFang
What you want drawn: Anchiornis huxleyi (aka the four winged bird.) It's sort of fantasy, no one's seen one and even if they did exist, they're dead.
What you can draw: Humans, animals, probably anthro (it would be an interesting challenge.) Dragons (I'm not very good though.) Not too picky though.
Examples of your art: Sorry, don't really have an online art dump.
Willing to Sub: Yes

Your Name:Cryptster or Crypt Chris
What you want drawn: A royal crest that features a dragon and a lion. The crest is for a a royal family with the surname of Darkheart. Use your imagination. The only requirements is a dragon and a lion.
What you can draw: Honestly just about anything but I specialize in the anime/video game art style, semi-realism, graphic design, & photo-manipulation.
Examples of your art: This is a new dA account so not all of my work is posted on here, but here: http://cryptster.deviantart.com/ (http://cryptster.deviantart.com/)
Willing to Sub: It will depend. I am willing but if something comes up, I won't be able to.

Your Name: Miniar
What you want drawn: A Shapeshifter.
Colours should be blue highlights on gray.
Shapes are "Owl", "Tiger", and "skinny/twink-Elf".
How you handle/mix/incorporate this information is yours! ;)
What you can draw: Most things I "can" draw, but there will be artist's privileges taken and I don't promise to produce anything "epic".
Examples of your art: Older Stuff (http://freetha.deviantart.com/) Newer Stuff (http://miniar.deviantart.com/)
Willing to Sub: I am "willing", but I work so slow that I should be low on the list of "people to get to sub"... very low.

Post by: no_id on July 15, 2010, 12:39:36 PM
Your Name: no_id
What you want drawn: the death of Cleopatra upside down and inverted. You don't have to take this literally... More points if you don't actually. ;)
What you can draw: I don't have much of a clue. I'd say 'anything' as long as not too much realism is required since I tend to go fauve. Animals aren't my best though - I've never practiced much on them. But, in the end it's all a matter of style.
Examples of your art: some photography: 1 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=1057097), 2 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=11553343) some photo manipulation and banner design 1 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=1056084), 2 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=1144937), quick drawings (doodles) 1 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=1066211), 2 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=1066191), 3 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=11553356), 4 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=11553355), 5 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=11553354), a painting 1 (http://www.pix8.net/pro/pic.php?u=19380jYID1&i=11553342)... This is all old stuff to be honest. Haven't uploaded anything recently.
Willing to Sub: Maybe. I need to see how this works for me first.

Also, Miniar: your artwork is amazing.  8)

What you want drawn: A fierce, red dragon with a cheesy grin, getting his toenails painted in rainbow colors by a woodland elf/centaur/other non-threatening mythological being for comedic effect.  I haven't really got any specific critter/being in mind, so go crazy!
What you can draw: I'm best at animals.  My art is realism style (I'm no good with anime or anthro), and my humans are just not good enough to be seen by other people.  lol
Examples of your art: My DA account. (//http://)  Not much here since most of my work is boxed up and I never sign on here.

Jumpin' in! I refuse to miss this one  ;D

Your Name: Fenrir
What you want drawn: An invertebrate of any kind. I don't mind how you interpret that, make it into anything from a swarm of spiders to a lobster-dragon if you wish!  :D
What you can draw: People or animals in a kind of cartoony-realism style (like anime). I can do abstract stuff if people want me to. If people are after landscapes or proper realism, I may fail.
Examples of your art: I haven't updated my DeviantART account in over 2 years now (so it's stuff from when I was 16/17), but here is a fantasy creature I drew: http://bluebellblood.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dyg5q6 (http://bluebellblood.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dyg5q6)
And here's proof I can draw people (but I have no idea what I was thinking with that nasty yellow background, I was young and foolish! >.<) Also, my people have noses now: http://bluebellblood.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dzyzd1 (http://bluebellblood.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dzyzd1)
Abstract: http://bluebellblood.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dy0jzy (http://bluebellblood.deviantart.com/gallery/#/dy0jzy)

Yup definitely still have some work to do. I tend to be one of those oddballs who first does sketches of everything seperate and then with an actual composition sketch do various sketches on the same piece of paper. Add some coloured markers to that to distinguish the lines I actually want to use and you got a pretty trippy assembly. ;)

Sorry I haven't been responding much to you guys' updates-- I've been greatly enjoying reading how things are coming along. 83

I'm still thinking of ideas for mine. I'm REALLY EXCITED about it, though! I just have to make sure I come up with the perfect idea to maximize the awesomeness of this great request I get to draw.

The specifications for mine were... interesting... so after a while of trying to do something that just didn't want to work, tried something different and now am happily nearly done with the pencilwork for mine. :P I'm not used to dealing this much with backgrounds, but hey, new experiences.
The way I work is sketching something, then going over that in more detail, rubbing stuff out then adding more detail (and so on and so forth), because if something's going to work for me, it's gotta be from the moment of conception. It means you just might still be able to see pencil lines in places, but it's much better than the long laborious process of tracing paper stuff (which would be necessary for any kind of cleanup process in my case, I don't trust my computer to not have a tantrum and erase my progress if I tried to clean it up properly). How's everyone else coming along?  :)

It took me long enough, but finally I have started!

I've got the main subject matter sketched, now, and I'm enjoying how it's turning out. I shooould be finished within the next couple days. 83 (I'm havinga  bit of a catch-up-on-art marathon, this week, since the HUGE EXCHANGE I was in on another site just ended, and next week school starts. So much art, so little time!)

Ditto on the so much art, so little time front! I was also in that HUMONGOUS ART EXCHANGE from the other site, and I've been trying to draw for myself, too. at least a little.

I have started this exchange, though! I'm really enjoying what I've got so far, even if it is a...very strange execution of the subject matter that I was handed. Hope that's okay.

I was on vacation and then I come back home and the net is down and I can't remember the details of what I was supposed to do so I waited, then net comes back up and I look at the assignment again, read it, think, read it again, sleep on it, and today I did a basic preliminary sketch of what my subconscious has thrown back up into the conscious and told me "this is what it should be" and now I'm hoarding references and letting my prelim sketch age so when I get to work on second and third, I know what I "want" from 'em.

Funny thing though, somewhere in the back of my mind is a "DEMAND" that this be done with acrylic paints and nothing else... so I'm a little concerned I "might" be late.

If you need to, you can do what I told Miniar he could do-- take the extra week between the deadline and handouts to finish the last bit up, if need be, since you'll be close-to-done by then, anyways. You just have to promise you'll actually send it in before the handouts, and you're good. (o__o)d

Had a sudden panic today about how near the deadline was (it's official: holidays make you lose track of time!) but yep, yep, working on it. Shading now, specifically the background.

It's gray because I prefer pencil (I do nearly everthing with a .5) but I feel a little bad not doing any digital stuff or coloring.

Color would ruin my work, not that it's all that good to begin with lol. I tried a couple times to mix pencil and ink (ink for the blacks pencil can't reach) but it looks odd so I don't think I'll do that here.

But greyscale is every bit as valid and potentially-awesome-looking as colored art! I occassionally use greyscale just because I like the effect, even though for me, color is about 59873854387 times easier than greyscale, and I've alwaysfound it kind of exciting when I get greyscale art from people, because it's kind of a change of scenery from the usual colorful stuff.

Just a general note to everyone: Don't feel bad about what medium you're using! No one medium (be it digital or graphite or marker or paint or photomanipulation or whatever) is inherently "better" than another. Usually the "best" medium is whatever medium you feel most comfortable using to achieve the effect you want to achieve for that piece of art. 83

GOODNESS GRACIOUS. Way to take the exchange seriously-- all I did, research-wise, was peek at Google images to make sure I wasn't destroying any anatomy/colors. XD KUDOS TO YOU.

(But of no worries-- as long as you have it in before the handout dateit's a-okay, as long as I know ahead of time if you're going to oversoot the regular deadline by a bit. So you're good to go~)

Well thought is every bit as important as execution in making good art, I think. Many of my favorite pieces of art I've received over the years came from people whose creativity far exceeded their technical skill. I'm definitely excited to see this excellently thought-out picture of yours!

I do suspect there will indeed be more of these in the future! 8D

Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask, what would you guys (i.e. people who are interested in participating in the next exchange) prefer:

Doing anotehr excahnge directly/shortly after this one (except possibly with a slightly longer time between the start and end dates, because the high school/college kids in the northern hemisphere are mostly in school, now, so I have a feeling a lot of people will be slowed down by homework).

OR

Wait a while to do the next one-- if so, suggest about how long you want to wait.

OR

Wait a while to do another BIG one, but do a mini-exchange to keep the art flowing. (By mini-exchange, I mean... no backgrounds/shading needed, so people who are in school/burnt out from so many exchanges in a row don't have to churn out another HUGE thing just yet.)

...tell me what you all think!

I'm up for anything, but I do need a longer time because I'm in school and that takes precedence.

For themes, outer space! xD  Or aliens.
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Crow on August 28, 2010, 03:31:22 PM
If we go the mini-exchange route, I may go sans-theme and save the themes for the full-blown exchanges (unless people really want a themed mini-exchange, in which case that is ceeeertainly possible).

I personally am fond of the mini-exchange now, big exchange later plan. However, I want to see what everybody else is feeling before I come to any conclusions. Plus, even if we do go with that plan we'll need to decide how we want to arrange exchanges-- I'm thinking a winter holiday exchange that ends around the start of the new year would be fun, but that's quite a while away. What do we want to do between now and then? (A mini exchange? Multiple mini exchanges? A big exchange? Braaaainstooorm!)
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Shang on August 28, 2010, 03:35:23 PM
I can't participate any exchanges over the winter holiday because I'll be with my family and I won't have a scanner available, but I can do exchanges of any sort before that or after that or both.
Title: Re: Art Exchange 2.0: Fantasy
Post by: Crow on August 28, 2010, 03:51:57 PM
A lot of people, however, have a pretty sizeable chunk of free time during winter vacation, so it would be kind of silly not to take advantage of that for an exchange. (That being said-- if your only issue is a lack of scanner, you could always just take a photo and make an "IOU a scanned version as soon as I get back to scannerland" note to go with it. That goes for anyone having technical difficulties during an exchange, really.)

But that's quite a way off-- for now the big question is what we want to do to satiate our art exchange cravings in the meanwhile. |D

The same deal we've been doing sounds good. But others will probably be more busy than I, so mini exchange?

Theme suggestion- "Brought to life."

Oh man, I LOVE that theme idea. I definitely think we need to use it sometime in the near future, for suresies!

Do we want to use that one for a mini-exchange, or would we want to save it for the next regular-size exchange since it's such a good one?

I think the mini should be theme-less

Yeah, that is what I'm thinking, too-- it's a little tricky to cram a theme into no background/shading basic artstuffs.

So far it's looking something like this (tenatively, of course):

Mini Exchange (themeless) handouts in maybe late October?

then

Big Exchange (theme: Brought to Life) staring early November with handouts around New Year

...thoughts?

I think the art exchange should go on during the winter, but I won't be able to participate.  I'm going to be in England and very very busy. xD I don't expect to have much free time based off of the last time I was in England--I went somewhere almost every day and the days I didn't were filled with me sleeping because of jetlag. xD

I'm for mini-sessions and I'll be able to participate in them, especially since I won't have to do a background or something similar.

Probably sign-ups will start as soon as handouts for this exchange happen. Sign-ups usually last about a week, then there's a week of bumper-space between deadline and handouts, so it'll equate to about a month of drawing-time (give or take a bit).

The mini-exchange plan sounds a good one, because however much I love drawing backgrounds kill me! I always do them way too elaborate and they take thrice as long as the actual subject of the picture.  :P
In other news, I should be done by later tonight, internet connection permitting (getting something in by the deadline? Gosh, this is new for me) as this accursed background needs colouring in. And elaborating on. (I do it to myself, I really do...) I hope my scanner doesn't kill it now! I'm excited to see everyone else's soon!

Coppelia, didn't you say your cat ate the original? I sympathise, my cat eats paper too, it's horrible (especially seeing as she can't resist photographs...) So you've had less time than we have to do it. If it's mine, I don't care about the background.  :)
In other news... done! Well, where I live, it's technically now the 31st, but I reckon it's still the 30th over in America (where most of you are) so I'm counting that as an on-time submission!  ;D

Yep, you're on time!

And on that note: Everybody who hasn't asked for an extension(/substitute) has turned in, now! And I suspect the rest are soon to follow-- looks like we'll have everything in in time for teh scheduled handout date, most likely! 8D

This automatically gives everyone +5 awesome points by the by.
Almost every previous art-trade I've been witness to or more has had at least one person "not turning in on time".

So, everyone should go have a cookie!

Just a reminder to people with extensions (that includes substitutes): Handouts are in two days!

If you don't have the chance to touch things up before the handouts, it's not a huge deal. Remember: a low-quality photo with an "IOU a scanned version" or a mostly-finished picture with an "I'm finishing it as we speak!" note is fine. Just make sure you have something showable sent in by the handouts.

That reminds me! I'm gonna re-scan mine and fix it a little, cause the first scan chopped a little off the top, and it can't really spare that...

I'm nervous now too.

Artist's Anxiety!

Perfectionism kicking in.
My eyes see nothing but the faults again!
But I know that if I try and fix it,
I'll only make it worse.

This exchange is actually almost done-- the sign-ups ended a while ago, and now we're just waiting for the last couple people to finish so we can have handouts. BUT pretty soon (either right before or right after the handouts for this exchange) I'm going to post a new board for the next exchange (which will be a themeless mini-exchange, and after that we'll have a bigger exchange that overlaps the winter holiday season) and sign-ups will be open for that, so keep an eye out and post your sign-up there. 83

Actually, I was going to post handouts when I woke up this morning, but I still haven't heard back from the last two participants. I sent out (more) reminders yesterday, but I don't think they've been online yet to get said reminders.

If I haven't heard back from them by the end of the day, I'll just go ahead and post handouts with IOU notes, since I know one is done and just needs to scan and the other is at least close-to-done and had something come up in real life that slowed them down (hence why they had an extension to begin with), so I can pretty well trust that they WILL sent their parts in (if a bit belatedly). I figured I'd wait until the end of the day just to see if they might send things in, though.

Sorry about the delay. D8
