I've noticed, even within my short time on the site, that there are some topics that get discussed again and again and again. I thought it would be fun to start a list of perennial Susans discussions.
Think of it as part discourse analysis, part mild self-deprecation, and part fun-and-games thread. :)
I'll start:
1) My boobs ache... and I love it! >:-)
That's great and all, but how can I make my hips bigger?
Can I post later? I'm calculating my finger length ratio.
Gotta dash to my electrolysis appointment, will get back to later. ;)
First post: "Hi, I'm new and can't put up an avatar."
I'm risking my life by adding this topic to the list as often ends up being all out war "will my feet shrink on E?"
I've seen the topic come up half a dozen times in the last couple of years & it hardly ever ends well so i'm not dicussing this, i'm just saying it comes up from time to time. . . . . . . .quicky runs away to find a safe hiding spot
In reference to your topic about boob ache, my nipples itch like crazy ::)

Look at this horrible hate I found at ihatethosedishdongtransgenderpeopledotcom.
I found the SOC Ver. 7 at website X "Yes, we have that right here on Susan's"
I found the SOC Ver. 7 at website Y "Yes, we have that right here on Susan's"
I found the SOC Ver.7 at website Z "Yes, we have that right here on Susan's. And your link is to Ver. 6"
Um, should I like totally go stealth?
I'm busting a gut here. ;D
Please help me navigate the system... :embarrassed:

If I transition I will only wear skirts and I love makeup so I will do it all the time - usually followed by many long timers saying they dont do that in the long run and a few saying that this is exactly what they are doing.
I want to transition but i cannot because of XYZ - how can I live with not transitioning (now)?

That's one reason I don't like profanity here.
Someone asked me what I meant in this post, so here's a better explanation:
I always rail against profanity on the site because most transsexuals say they knew something was up at a very young age. I'd like to think these young people and their families can come here and not find the site looking like a barroom.
Quote from: Devlyn Marie on December 23, 2013, 05:34:58 PM

And thank you for saying it. As important as the site is for me as a support in my process, it's become an integral part of life for my entire family. My wife has an SO membership and posts semi-regularly and for my son eight year old, Susan's is about normalizing something that he isn't otherwise exposed to where we live. And he reads more of the site than people would imagine.
My son instantly recognizes people's avatars and nicknames, enjoys playing the Fun & Games threads with me, and revels in all of the Bad Jokes that I deem fit to share with him (and some that probably aren't). Oh, and lest I forget, thanks to Miss Bungle, he's watched several episodes of the Get Along Gang on YouTube ;).
The other day, he asked me if he could join a Susans for kids.
It's important that we keep the real one family friendly.

Really? Awww, on one hand that's cool but on the other hand that stinks. My channels got taken down once American Greetings (the company that owns the rights to the show) found out about it. There are still several episodes up on other channels but I had some stuff up that no one else did. Oh well...that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Ltl posting her family issues and sharing how she once again is facing increasing anxiety over how she will be perceived by society. That crazy girl never stops posting these rants! ;) :D
To be honest, it's funny how the same things come up, but we all go through things at different points and feedback is always helpful (even if only to ease anxieties). One of the great things about this site is finding other people who can relate with something most will never understand. Back in the day, it would have been hard for trans people to find another person who went through the same thing and find the support they need. Yeah, we can be redundant here, but in a way it's a good thing.
Okay, back to the silliness.

Two people having a completely off topic discussion in a thread....
And since we're back on topic...
Party-poopers! (Booo!)
;)
I notice I'm the last person to post. I wonder who the next person to post will be?
Gwynne, which rhymes with win! ;D
To show that I truly grasp the concept of this thread, shouldn't we all measure our fingers again? <running away>
"I like this doctor, procedure, process, transition plan, location, etc."
"What? This is a much better doctor, procedure, process, transition plan, location and does not involve any of the dangers you did not mention."
"Why are you attacking me and treating me like such an idiot?"
"I am not attacking you, just pointing out that your intelligence is sub-optimal."
Original poster: Could we go back to talking about what we had for dinner last night?

Ding ding ding! We have a winner in today's Make Devlyn Smile contest! ;D
I seem to have repeatedly replied to something like this:
"I need a wig that will be completely passible. I've got $15 to spend. Where do go?"
I have an insatiable craving for pickles and olives right now. :-\

Now see, that's why I'm not a full-time comedienne...if I'm lucky I get to blurt out one or two funny things for every 100 tries.
I can do it faster if I'm not trying, though. :-\
:-*
Wait, I'm not through yet:
With all of us administering a healthy dose of good-natured
needling, this
thread's got me all in
stitches! ;D :D ;)
(I call that wise-
crack my
whipstitch - simple yet effective. Do some reading up on that - I believe it's useful in simple
book-binding!)

Along those lines... $15 for a completely passable packer. I will use it at a urinal and to have sex.

Too true Jay, along with need a binder for free or close to it and 'using things like elastic bandages, good idea?' threads.
"I just did my first shot!"
"OMG T gave me acne, help!"
And how about responses that recur ad infinitum? Such as the ever popular, "You don't pass now, but T will do wonders for you!"
How about "Do I look like a man or a thirteen year old boy?"
Newbie A: "How do I talk/walk/act like a woman?"
Random mtf: *Gives complicated answer on how a ciswoman would do it*
Meanwhile.....
Newbie B: "How do I talk/walk/act like a man?"
Random ftm: *Immediately lectures newbie about not trying to emulate a cisman*

Though I've heard the one: Women walk from their chest and men walk from their crotch. NOt sure what to do with that info. But there's the answers you post too.

How do I start a blog on here?
