hai guyz,

um,so I'm not sure, but I think I have (insert serious potentially life threatening condition here).  What do you guys think?  If it doesn't go away in a week, I might go see a doctor....

I just came out
or
I just came out to my X

That and,
"This thing happened today that sucked, let me tell you about it"
alternatively
"This thing happened today that was awesome, let me tell you about it".

I'm 21. Please tell me it's not too late to transition!
Alternatively: I'm eleven years old, is it too late to start hormones?!

Honestly, (and this is dead serious) I wish I could have started at 11.

I completely identify. As an eleven year old, I had a very elaborate plan hatched that involved significant self-harm and stealing mum's pills. :-\

which reminds me...

here's my trans* narrative...

That's one reason I don't like profanity here. By the way:

Should I epilate my face?  :-\

don't knock it till you try it.  It's not electro or laser, but on a budget it works

I don't know. That sounds awfully painful. I can understand being on a budget, though. I'm on one and I have no local access to a good electro tech. We have one in town but she sucks. I just shave and deal with it. Do I like it? Nah. But epilating my face? YEOOOUCH!!

Someone asked me what I meant in this post, so here's a better explanation:

I always rail against profanity on the site because most transsexuals say they knew something was up at a very young age.  I'd like to think these young people and their families can come here and not find the site looking like a barroom.

And thank you for saying it. As important as the site is for me as a support in my process, it's become an integral part of life for my entire family. My wife has an SO membership and posts semi-regularly and for my son eight year old, Susan's is about normalizing something that he isn't otherwise exposed to where we live. And he reads more of the site than people would imagine.

My son instantly recognizes people's avatars and nicknames, enjoys playing the Fun & Games threads with me, and revels in all of the Bad Jokes that I deem fit to share with him (and some that probably aren't). Oh, and lest I forget, thanks to Miss Bungle, he's watched several episodes of the Get Along Gang on YouTube  ;).

The other day, he asked me if he could join a Susans for kids.

It's important that we keep the real one family friendly.
