I don't count the days until Xmas, I count the days until new Doctor Who.

Now that the world didn"t end yesterday, boy does someone have egg of their face, the Dr Who Xmas speical is only days away.
For us in Oz its Wednesday night on ABC. No more Amy and Rory.

I keep thinking of Rory's dad, still watering the plants and waiting for them to come back . I hope he has a good Xmas.

I'm old enough to remember the first series with William Hartnell! A Doctor Who annual was always a Christmas present I enjoyed as a kid I drifted out of si fi as a teenager but sometimes watch Doctor Who the last episode  I saw had Doctor Who and an Edsel.

Just finished watching the new Xmas special tonght. Not bad and wont spill the beans.

New series looks good.

Same. I liked the baddies in this one. I wish Jack could come back through, that would be funny, but this season looks good so far!

Yes it's time for Jack to return.

River looks still to be there which is good.

Anyway I really like his new companion.

I guess I can write this bit because it's not really a spoiler, but I was glad too see married... Well Women? lol. Yeah. I liked how they have put homosexual marriages into the show. I know it's not the first show to do so, but it's always good to see equality in television. Maybe they will continue having more like that in the future

A little off topic but I wanted to put my thought on that here

Last week saw an ad on UKTV on Foxtel that they are going to show 11 Doctors in 11 Months from 6th Jan 2013

I'm not expecting to see Captain Jack until the 50th anniversary episode (fingers crossed for "The Eleven Doctors").

Seems like there is a mystery surrounding the new companion... I'm excited to see where they go with this.  I'm disappointed that we have to wait until April for more episodes

I'm so behind. I tried watching some on netflix a few years ago and ended up watching 3 seasons back to back, with very little sleep. There's more?! I need to see them.

Be careful, Doctor Who can be addicting.  After I initially watched all the New Who (Everything after 2005) episodes, I had to go back and watch everything from 1963 - 1989.  And the 1996 movie.  I thought the quality improved once it was in color!

I didn't like the old ones. That's why I was so shocked by how much I liked the color ones. And there's a movie?!

Yeah, the movie is the only 8th Doctor story (outside of audio plays, novels and comic books...).  I put on the old episodes for background noise while doing other things well over a year ago, so I don't remember too much about them now .

Loved this year's Xmas special, really looking forward to the new series!

Well I have caught up on all the christmas specials aired on uktv this year. The new one was quite good didn't feel to christmassy to me though. I do like the new T.A.R.D.I.S interior and in reference to comments by people who work on the show saying long time fans will like the new intro I will say this: It was very bright and also I see what you did there you clever clever people.

I am interested in seeing where they take things with the new companion.

Where did you see River in the preview Jenny07? I didn't spot her.

I am looking forward to seeing the explantion behind the new look Cybermen are they the cybus ones upgraded or are they the mondasian cybermen finally returned?
