To answer the question in the first post, I don't think this fact is a door to any FTM surgery. Not yet, at the very least. Assuming the mutation is still possible on a born person and it's not "locked" for some reason, for it to happen, you'd need stem cells and a pretty good knowledge of them. I don't think we're really close to that right now. Besides, stem cell research focuses more on spinal injury repair, for instance.
In a far future, perhaps. But as I said, it's possible that it's just not possible to revert anymore once the proto-female organ has been "locked" into a female organ. Maybe, maybe not. But either way, not now at all.
