What do you do with a sausage? Or how to handle long meaty things.

I use this kind of sausage...must be rare among the Australian, but popular in Chinese supermarkets. Can be sliced into small pieces and used in soups or "vegetable rice" as a secondary ingredient at small amounts. Usually 1 or 2 in a pot of soup in enough to improve the taste.

I like American sausage links but miss the breakfast sausages from England. Anyway, I also love batwurst. The big fat juicy kind that's a little spicy. Add some Cock sauce, also known as Sriracha, for more heat on the side and you've got a quite a mouth blaster to wrap your lips around.

Also, chilli cheese dogs are awesome. Get a hotdog, bun and add some chilli and shredded cheddar.... mmm.
Nothing better.

There's a German "meatery" for lack of a better word near my place that does jerky, dried biersticks and some of the best kransky, bratwurst and weisswurst you'll ever have! They even do their own saurkraut and yes Devlyn, their haggis is pretty good too! All round great place!
I came to terms with the whole "what goes into sausages" thing years ago. Just don't think about it, it takes away the magic ;)

P.S. I am surprised we are all so PC so far! Innuendo levels are lower than an episode of the brady bunch!

I've just had a veggie currywurst,I've tried introducing the meat version here without much success.You won't catch me putting meat in my mouth!

Having been a cook for 20 years or so I know what really goes into sausages or ground meat for that matter.
If this grosses you out my apologies but what really goes into ground meat is meat (muscle tissues), fat and tendons. 

As for sausages add more fat and spices and there you have it.  I know there are misconceptions of what goes into sausages like some floor scrapings etc. but really if you think about it why would that intentionally go into the final product?  Unless of course due to mass production with any food there are allowances for a certain degree of foreign things that can go into the mix.  And really if you made let say a sausage at home don't you think there is a chance you dropped a hair in it?

I am a omnivore and yes I like sausages etc well ok don't care for wieners/bologna but that's a matter of choice of taste not what is in it. 

Really any food we eat whether it is meat and yes even vegetables have things in it that should not be in it.  We have eaten probably a wheelbarrow of dirt a year for all our lives yet we don't think about it since it is inevitable and just part of nature if you will.  Not saying to be a dirty slob either but the very air we breath isn't pure either but we live and grow:)
