Tristan I am glad you asked this question, however I dont know but I will ask when my nurses come to see me today.
however I would think that if sex is dificult than perhaps you would want to.

I just had my visit from the nurse and i asked the question to her.

She said at  the point that you can resume sexual intercourse ,you shoud not have to dialate it is no problem at this point.
Alsoin my aftercare instructions it says "you may commence sexual intercourse 2 months after your surgerybut remember that one act of sexual intercourse is equal to just one dialation!!"

So theres one answer ;)

but I would stilll say if itt hurts than I would say it couldnt hurt to go ahead and do a quicky dialation to help. :P

I don't, but I'm years down the track.

At first I needed too, I was really told to, but was told it helps.
Lube helped a lot the first few times.
I used to take a small tube out and every time I went to the loo if things were heading that "way".

Now I get wet enough to get things moving.

Cool. Thank you ladies so I'm doing the right thing . That's a relief, I thought I was going to have to start doing that now before sex

That would suck... Big time. You'd have to be like, hey can you like leave the room for like 20 minutes... While I er... Umm... Get ready. Hells no.

I never dilated before intercourse, but used to use lube with some guys, sometimes its mostly down to the guy, my husband is very good at foreplay, he is usually very gentle and patience with me, when Im totally relaxed he'll moisten me up, then he'll only penetrate me when Im ready, its all about a guy knowing how to treat a woman, it will hurt if Im not in the mood, a guy has to be gentle with me, ''no slam bam, thank you Mam'' for me.
No dilating or lube needed, just a gentleman who knows how to treat a girl.
