That's a great size Rita. Yay and congrats! I'm a tad older than you at 30 and obviously I'm a biased old lady and I think that genes play more of a role in HRT then age. Obviously, if you started at 16 it would have been better and you'd get a lot less of the effects of the T virus, but sometimes I think a little too much emphasis is placed on age, at least in regards to girls in their mid-20s to mid-30s. It's really not all that old and I figure I have a half-life left. A half-life that could be a very full life that I always dreamed of. That we all dream of. Thank God we live in the times we do where this is possible and much easier. I feel really grateful to our elders who made all this possible especially Christine Jorgensen who went thru who knows what so we could do this today. She died before I could barely say thank you. But thank you to everyone who made all this possible.

Your potential breast growth is said to be "somewhat smaller than that of close relatives".

Whenever I read this (which is fairly often) it fills me with dread because, assuming my measurements are correct, it means that my breasts will shrink and my nipples will poke out of my back and I am not at all sure anyone makes bras that shape.

Well that was fun! What's next?

I wouldn't put too much emphasis into that line of thought. I hear it a lot and from your picture you look like your 20-something and I'm sure your development will be fine. I mean you look quite slender so I think all trans women get at least an A. That's what I heard. And there is always the possibility to get a boob job. But I feel you. All the uncertainty of transition could drive us insane. There's so much conflicting information out there it's hard to know what to believe.

Yeh I went by the calculator thing. Tape measure says 32 under bust  think I'm 37 over I'm not sure. Started at almost 32.

Measurements aren't the same for us because of the shape of the ribcage which in turn affects the shape of the breasts. So the problem is not really the size per se. The problem is the fact that only a handful of us will get over tanner stage 3.

After 14 months on HRT I was a tanner 4 36B but I had to stop HRT for a month and a half and I lost a lot that just didn't come back since then. Now I'm stuck at this disgracious tanner 3 stage again. So yeah there's a major difference between having small breasts and being freakin 30 and having T3 breasts...

I think it's just like it is for cis girls - there are ways to guess, but no way to find out except to wait and be patient (ha, I couldn't either!). :)

3 years and a bit on HRT and I was just professionally measured at a 38DD in Wacoal, although in other brands/styles of bras I'm anywhere from 40D to 42DDD (bra measuring is, indeed, nuts).  I'm not sure I buy into the Tanner stage thing, but I can also get a pencil to stay under there. Personally, I'm OK if they stop growing soon! BTW, my mother is a 34B but my sister is 38D. Guess there's more than one set of boob genes in my family. So there's hope even if your mom/sister/aunt/whatever is small...

Try to learn to not dwell on the girls, ladies.

"A watched pot never boils." Enjoy what you have, treasure them, love them., caress them. (But not too much, you'll get hairy palms LOL).

I'm at a really awkward stage where a B cup leaves boob hanging out of the sides and a C catches the sides with room to spare... but leaves space at the top. I typically wear a 34B... but if it's a pushup then the boobs kinda slide around and doesn't stay where I want them to stay. My roommate (who was a med student) says I'm a tanner stage 5 but I think she's just being overly supportive. My own thoughts, I'm at T4 and borderline between B and C. My underbust measures a hair under 33" and my measurement around my nipples is 37". They're still shaped kinda funny though, with a lot of space between them and they both poke slightly to the sides.

Men rarely stare at my boobs :( Sometimes they do but mostly they don't....

I've not really had much breast growth at all.. I'm barely even an A and been on hormones for like 3 years now... I think I'll eventually get a boob job once I can find the money, but I imagine it's going to take a few more years before thats possible since at the moment I'm a poor student lol

It's funny, I've been at my most recent job for about 4 years now, and I often work with my co-workers from my previous job (same work, different company). Some of the men from my old job seem to be fixated on my chest when I talk with them... ::)

Fwiw, I recently bought a couple 46B bras, and I don't quite fit them yet...did the "rice-in-a-nylon" trick, and measured out 350 ml (which is a "common" BA implant size)...OMG they were HUGE on me...but they did fill out the B cups nicely...

I can't imagine having D's....

I have being on HRT for the past 27 months, I have nice large C's. In the last 6 months or so, my breasts have been rounding out nicely. I wear a 36C bra. I love wearing push-up bras to make my breasts look better. I brought myself a wonder bra for Christmas, and it is my favourite bra. I started HRT when I was 21, now 23. I know the younger girls do tend to get bigger breasts.

One thing everyone agrees on though is, don't smoke, it stunts your growth.

I actually do smoke, a light regular smoker, so I was a lucky that it did not stunt my growth too much, or did it ... I would love D's or DD's. Maybe I will get breast enhancement  surgery some time in the future.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

Alaina we have the same measurements almost, yet you wear a 34 band I'm wearing a 36 or 38.. Its supposed to be under bust plus 4 inches right? I'm confused.

There's a lot of debate about adding four inches but I don't think you should anymore. It's a relic of days where the material and fabric wasn't as advanced and couldn't stretch or do a lot of things, hence the lack of steel undrwires in most bras nowadays. Your band size should be your underbust measurement (plus one if it's an odd number) and your cup size is bust minus underbust and a 1 inch difference equals an A cup, two inches a B cup, etc. etc.

Here is a better explanation than I can give: http://fullerfigurefullerbust.com/2011/06/16/simply-proven-wrong/

Measurements can be really deceiving though. I'm technically a 34B-29-35 but I don't think it really shows. Granted I'm not exactly shaped man-ishly but not very womanly either. I'm hoping as I start full dose spiro tomorrow at the seven week mark I'll gain more shape.

Joanna, just an fyi:

A corset with minimal tensioning, can easily reduce the waist by 2"-6" (with 4" being more typical). With your measurements, and a corset, your size could become 34-25-35...which gives you the magical 70% waist-to-hip ratio...

Hmm, thanks. I really have never given it much thought cause it's always sounded so painful. But hitting a 70 WTH ratio sounds awesome!

A properly fitted corset is not painful, it's like getting a hug. Now, if you wanted to drop 8-10" from the waist...that takes "waist training", which is much more involved and time-consuming (think a year or two of 24/7 wearing)...but even that isn't "painful", it's like getting a "really big bear hug."

The relation between "pain" and "corset" comes from either history (corsets made 150 years ago weren't properly fitted to the person, rather they were made to create a specific shape...ergo, pain), or from close association to the BDSM culture...in that case, the corset is a piece of erotica, not pain/punishment (that's what the candles and paddles are for  ;) )

Anyway, glad I could help a tiny bit.

Girl, you and I = same boat. I saw my endo 4 days ago...he said just between tanner III and IV...yes, 38 B feels like I am a susage, and C well room to spare. I usually wear a 38B but looking forward to a C.
I have been in HRT for almost 2 years...

I am in my 50's at least chronologically...and yest I still get my period regularly (EYHB)

I am about a month on HRT and have developed nice pubertal breasts that, as Trisha notes can be very tender and feel best in an easy to put on and wear all day sports bra with a bit of a shield.  Considering how we feel, that is what is most important to me.  I just feel great about now developing the breasts I always thought i should have and as a kid thought would magically appear.  More than size it's that feeling of finally getting closer to being the feminine one who shadowed me through my male life.  And then I am not a pretty young thing that hopes to attract attention and dates so our perspectives and agendas do vary too.
