I browned up some boneless chicken in butter, then took the chicken out and put a chopped onion, a clove of garlic (crushed) and some red pepper flakes in the butter. While that cooked, I grabbed three fat asparagus spears from the garden and threw them (cut in 1/2 inch pieces), the now cubed chicken, and a handful of noodles in the pot and just barely covered everything with water. Seasoned with a chicken bullion cube, onion powder, garlic powder, sage, and four, count 'em, four drops of some high octane hot sauce. Ten minutes boiling, and I'm eating. There's way too much hot stuff in here, this soup is awesome!

The rest of the steak I had leftover from last night and a baked sweet potato (plain).

Barley soup with green cabbage and black rice and broccoli stems and garlic and onion and cayenne. Amazing stuff.

Kind of a weird dinner but this is how I eat a lot of the time. Baby Carrots, a cumber, some cottage cheese, a a slice of bread with peanut butter on it.

That actually sounds very good!

My dinner tonight, nothing original, just thinking inside the "box":

Betty Crocker "Suddenly Salad", with (suggested) can of olives, would've put in chunks of cheese too if I'd thought about it.

But...alas...I was too hungry and just ate teh olibes from teh can, saving a few for the salad...
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Had a couple of big slices of thin crust pepperoni at Luigi's tonight. Hit the spot quite well.

Gosh I love brussels sprouts. My second favorite food, after beets.

Tonight I tried millet stuffed peppers. Sounds bland but I added sauteed mushrooms, red bell, onion, garlic, tomato, black beans, and chiles (always chiles!) to the millet. Little cheese on top, a brief spell in the oven...and wow. Not bad at all.

I feel like I ate two dinners today. I made my "dinners in bulk" this afternoon and tried one of my dinners for lunch and had the other one for actual dinner.

Lunch was  chicken Masaman curry using this stuff:

here's the food:

Dinner was turkey chili:

Not too hot, I should've added a bit more chili powder.

Maybe some actual hot peppers in addition to the powder next time.  :D
