I made Gumbo with chicken, shrimp, and sausage. Topped it with hot sauce and washed it down with some beers.

Tonight I steamed an artichoke for 35 minutes, and made a quick and easy aioli sauce to go with it.

Artichokes are essentially a thistle, and look like this:



They are fun to eat!  Try one if you have never had any before.

Okay, so the portabello mushroom and swiss veggie patties may not have been the healthiest for both my boyfriend and I, BUT I did roast some vegetables in the oven: lightly oiled veggies with pepper, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt, and baked in the oven at 400 degrees until just scorched to bring out the flavours. We had broccoli, carrots and peppers!

I forget the exact names of the recipes, but it's the creamy corn chowder (ouch! it's hot! My sinuses are clear now!) and the tortilla and black bean casserole, which is wicked good, along with some Big Y French bread.

Quorn veggy chicken  fillets with mushrooms ,butter beans, pasta, red pesto and parmesan(what I had left in the fridge and seemed to go together,it's not as strange as it sounds)

Tuna, barley, some tiny little pieces of bread with spreadable sun-dried tomato cheese on it, raw broccoli, and a Greek yogurt-curry sauce to go on the tuna and broccoli.

Didn't work. I gave up about after eating about an eighth of my already small plate. My mother warned me about health issues and now refuses to allow me Cola until i start eating normally again.
