Hi, here are few picture, as usual i cannot use makeup because it take too much time and my mom doesn't seem to want me to be alone for more than 1 hour lol.
So I tried to do my best with what i had :(

What amazing hair!

That alone is light years ahead of what I'm working with!

The foundations are there!  You'll be so beautiful.  Now get out that makeup and show us the real thing!

You have a great foundation to work with and you def could pass one day but perhaps you could thin out your eyebrows a little bit. Just pluck a little (from the bottom, always the bottom) and do it little by little if you are worried about people noticing. But if you want to transition you will eventually have to tell people and they will eventually notice. Plucking you eyebrows though is no big thing and nobody will think you are trans because of it.

Thank you for you answer. I love this wigs too, i bought it on ebay for 40€ the best investement i did so far. For now i am not on HRT and i live in a very conservative family so i want to be sure that transitioning is a good choice.

E-Brennan - I really thank you ! I look forward to have some makeup i think i will have fun experimenting :)

Joanna Dark - I think you are right that a good idea i will try to do this litle by litle!

You have a good canvas on which to start the portrait of your life.

Obviously, removing facial hair, thinning and arching brows, and someday doing a trach-reduction will enhance the femininity.

Sarah, herbal HRT is a waste of money and time. I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but lets face it. If You have fears of visiting doctors and obtaining prescriptions... it is about time to start getting rid of them! Afterwards, You will be facing situations when You will have to use those prescriptions in pharmacies, facing pharmacists and buying female hormones... When Your skin will start to change, You will have to buy female cosmethics (moisturisers and such) and once again, at the counter You will be facing other people there. Frankly speaking, most of them will not notice and those who will, wont care anyway.
Besides, You are going to need doctor anyway - a lot of them :).

Hi Sarah  :)

There isn't actually anything such as herbal HRT, and whether or not specific herbs enhance or inhibit existing hormone levels is unproven

Your best bet is to visit your Dr. and start an actually HRT regimine

Hugs and Best wishes

V M

Maybe you are right.
I want some "stealth" transition maybe without complete SRS (I have a wife and I am in very conservative enviroment), but what I need first is to visit doc. I emailed one of the doctors whose specialization is TS, I am awaitning an answer if I can have a consultation with her. I hope I will go over my fear.

Thank you all for wise words.

...And sorry fot out of topic post :)
My real name is Monika :)
HRT: 11.11.2014
SRS: 5.11.2015 with Chettawut

Good plan Sarah,
Virginia and Sammy are right about herbals, tried them many years ago and you'd have to ingest a truckload each day to get any results and then that amount of herbs would be toxic in your system. You might see about getting on a light dose of feminizing HRT and see how it goes. I transitioned in stealth mode for the most part during my working life in a conservative environment and no-one picked up on it. Good luck and keep us in the loop now that you're one of our big family!

I think so, especially in that second photo where you look relaxed and happy and smiling.

In all of these photos (not just these specific ones, but those from everybody), the most passing faces are those where there's a smile. A beautiful smile helps in so many ways:

- physically, it draws attention to the center of the face and away from other areas that might not pass as well, and it pushes up the cheeks and reshapes the face to a slightly more feminine shape. Plus bright red lips are such a good indicator of femininity.
- mentally, it tells us that you're comfortable and happy, and that's 90% of the battle right there.
- socially, it tells us that you're open and accessible and someone we want to be around.

I find it really hard to look at a photo where someone is smiling and not see the inner person coming out. And I've been smiling so much more recently and noticing that people treat me so much more kindly and softly.

So I guess keep smiling, Nikki L! It looks really, really good on you.   :)

Links work.  You will do well with HRT, and perhaps some FFS touch-ups.

A bit late, I know, but I wanted to thank all of the wonderful ladies who commented on my pictures.  I've been wrapped so far around in my head lately, it's been difficult to not see things with a bit of a warped perspective.  All of you helped bring me back to reality, and gave me more hope for a promising future.  So, thanks, ladies!  I seriously appreciate it.

All right... so, I'm kind of tired of people telling me "you look great already" in my various venting posts. Yes, I agree with you, I do look fine in my avatar picture... which is one particular picture, from one particular angle, in very particular clothes, after several pictures where I was trying to find the right angle.

I'm way overdue to post some more-honest pictures, which will give everyone a much better idea of what I see in the mirror on a daily basis, and which are still sending me into depressive bouts where I feel like I'll never make it. And I still have my doubts about whether I'll make it or not.

First of all, here is the front view that you are all probably familiar with. And yes, I do like my front view. A lot. From this angle, you can see the femininity that is coming in, and it keeps getting better and better with every week.

Here is a 3/4 angle. Here is where it starts getting a little less flattering. You can really start to see the thickness of my head, the heaviness of my brow, my gigantic Italian nose, and my stupid receded hairline.

...and here is where it just all falls apart. My stupid, stupid, OMG I HATE IT side view. Don't even get me started. My hair looks awful, my brow is so damned heavy, my neck and shoulders and arms are just so damned thick and heavy that I doubt it's even possible that they'll ever slim down and look more feminine, my nose looks awful, and my head is such a weird shape. I know that from this view I do not look the least bit feminine whatsoever. And this is the view that, by far, stresses me out the most. There are just so many features that I'm seriously doubting HRT will ever be able to fix. Mainly, I'm just stressing out about the bulk of it all. It just looks so big and hefty, while on women these features are small and soft and slender. So seriously... is there any hope of my neck and shoulders and arms looking like a female neck, shoulders, and arms? I'm having a hard time seeing how it's possible.

And just as a bonus, here is another thing that stresses me out to no end. This is the back of my head... the reason why I have to wear a wig. And while I have regrown some hair thanks to Finasteride, Dutasteride, and Rogaine, I still just have so damned far to go that, again, I seriously wonder if it'll ever be possible for me to grow a feminine head of hair naturally. I'm so freaking jealous of everyone else's hair...

So, thoughts? Am I ever going to get there? It just feels like I'm stuck with all of these masculine features that will never go away. And this is 5 months into HRT, so I'm really starting to feel like the clock is ticking for these things to start changing if they ever are going to.

Carrie you are being way to hard on yourself. I think your face is more feminine than you think! Sure we all have things we wish were better I do to. But you must learn to deal with these things and accept yourself and love the person you are. You are drive yourself crazy with all this self hate.

Carrie,
You are by no means alone. I'm hiding a male hairline, monkey ears, and a nose that extends half an inch further than yours - and is as Roman as the Circus, to boot.

You'll pass - just as I'll pass - although we both may wish the service of the surgeon for nose reduction purposes.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

Here's the most important thing to remember.  Everyone who is on HRT is constantly changing, and I guarantee you, they're all changing slower than they'd like ;)  It's so infuriating having to wait for something you've already waited for for so long.  You can definitely see the effects of the 5 months though.  Just keep in mind that that's 5 months of hormones working like made to reverse a couple of decades in the other direction.  Imagine 10 months on, those little female hormones are going to kick some butt and I bet you'll look great :)
