you never know you could be addicted? haha
but yeah i was so against cheek implants as i thought they would be over the top. but after getting them i found out that it was such a good move. i mean people complement me on them all the time. ,"what nice cheek bones you have." and also the nose is the other big one

Any word on how well his Type 3 Forhead recontouring ends up? Really considering the package H option on his pricing list. The money I could potentially save could go towards other proceedures I'd like to get like cosmetic dentistry and maybe vocal surgery.

I want that curvature on the forehead so I think I need to get both based on the description on the website. Hopefully I'm not Type 3 haha

the 25th of this month? yay. Lexy thats good news. im sure your going to turn out great and be happy with your results and such. just remember not to freat put right after surgery when your all swollen. i know i saw myself in the mirror and was high as a kite. i started reacting the final scene to rocky 1. haha. i even took pictures. but they will give you those light treatments that really help with the swelling. and by week 5-8 normally passing as a male is no more possible. your going to love it

What is "Type 3"?

Awesome news Lexy! Yeah you are in good hands so don't fret. Your life will change for the better and you have a good starting point so it'll be easy breezy. I'm trying to get an estimate right now for cheeks and plan a trip to go down either this summer or fall.

Basically it means you have a very prominent male brow ridge. Type I & II are less prominent and most usually can be changed thru deburring (sanding down the bone). Also Type III requires more work to change. The frontal sinus bone is removed, sanded down, then reattached.

Read this:

Thank you. I have been told (by Dr Cardenas via Tyler) that I have a "Type 3"...I also have a booklet from Dr. Z who discourages the bone removal process.

Of course, any such surgery would be a voluntary thing, I could choose to accept a lesser result with a lesser procedure...but dayum that's a heckuva thing, to essentially remove the forehead, reshape the bone, and then re-install it.  :o

I can only imagine the difficulty in recovery... :(

yeah to my understanding he shaves it down? i know my forehead area feels all smooth like. and the recovery was not that bad. i liked the rocky pics i took of myself one day post op. i looked so funny. im a sweller but others seem to have more of a graceful first 72 hours. i would have been a little jealous had i not been so happy high as a kite ;)

Idk? Probably not since I started spiro so early but I can't really say? I just know he did do some work up there for me too and it turned out great. I actually got a complement once from someone I was snuggling with and brushing my head on them about how smooth and soft my forehead is. A weird but nice complement :)

Tristan has quite prominent brow bossing before FFS but I don't think she was Type 3 though. Type 3 is usually for very square and wide forehead, someone with male pattern baldness and very prominent brow bossing... So someone who has forehead like Beth is definitely Type 3

I finally get to change my profile pic on here. It's been forever lol. Can't wait to have some cheek implants on my face and that brow lift :-)

Ok, thanks..but bummer. Now I have to psych myself up for that...LOL

Exposing the brain during surgery, more recovery time/pain, possible permanent sinus drip...does anyone know someone who had the type 3? How'd it turn out?

Yeah what Lexi said. Haha. All I know is when I dr transitioned for that half a year and put on 40 pounds and shaved my head I passed as a guy well. And I think my head was looking quite masculine and they were still able to make my face more feminine. I think he will with both of you as well
