For those who don't know me, I'm not full time yet and doing a somewhat "stealth transition" at this point so I was pretending to be a guy in this story.
About 3 hours ago, my driver and I get stopped at a checkpoint on the way to Freetown form Makini. They aren't trying to shake us down for money like the Mozambican police but just keeping an eye on things.
He is at my window and only talks to me . He is friendly and just asking what I'm up to. There are too other cops next to them and they are huddled close together by my window since it is lightly raining. He suddenly says, "you look like a woman. Very beautiful!" I smiled real big and looked at the other two cops and said, "did you hear that? He said I look like a beautiful woman. You may want to watch him!"
They all laugh and he tries to explain himself and that he was just saying that I was beautiful like a woman as opposed to handsome like a man. He asked a few more questions and we were on our way. I told the driver, "can you believe he said I look like a woman? He must need glasses!" My driver just giggled and didn't remark.... Lol I guess that counts as a "male fail"?
