Sad thing is I'm actually not kidding. Totally my dinner last night.

It'll certainly help with fat redistribution!  ;D

I don't eat ice cream very often anymore but that is one of my favorites  :)  YUM!!! LOL... Not quite my idea of dinner though

I got back into town later in the evening last night and since my wife is also out of town I decided to take my roommate out to dinner since she's been so great about helping me with my makeup and things.

She's been drooling over the Corona Beach Bake at Joe's Crab Shack - simply because it has two lobsters in it, so I before my flight for home took off yesterday I offered to meet her there.

Frankly my food wasn't very good (a bowl of claw chowder and a burger of some sort), but she inhaled hers - two (smallish) lobsters, clams, shrimp, a sausage, and an ear of corn.  It was actually kind of disturbing to watch as I'm not big on food that still has it's eyes and those lobsters seemed to be staring at me. :)

I went out for my birthday to a wine and tapas place for dinner. I had a margarita and some lobster on a bread thing (crostini?), this eggplant thing which I didn't like too much also on a crostini, and some ahi tuna (not pictured). Totally overpriced but good.

Leftover chicken and possibly some quinoa if I feel like cooking.

Chicken, but I don't know what preparation yet, will check the garden for a decision.  More on that later tonight.

I cooked a pasta thing with shrimp and tomatoes yesterday, and made a sauce with stock made by cooking the shrimp shells flavored with sherry, garlic, Old Bay, ginger, a pinch of nutmeg, an Italian herb mix (homemade) with extra basil and some lemon juice.  I thickened it with a roux.  It came out really good!

Grilled ribeye steaks with fresh corn on the cob (picked fresh) tonight, with a green salad and some nice red wine, maybe a Syrah (Shiraz in AU) or a merlot.  A cabernet sauvignon is not one of spouse's favorites although I would enjoy one.  I tend to like drier wines than she does.  I haven't decided on a dessert yet.  It's too late to bake something.  Some pears poached in red wine might be nice, I could do that fairly quickly.

It's nice to have a little extra $ to buy a nice bottle or two.  I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts!  ^_^
