Precision to the thousandth?  Use must have used calipers!   ;)

Welcome back, sweetie  ;D
Of course I did, what else would I use. I even made sure to zero them out good first too.

And I'm transparent, aren't I?  lol

Today I've heard, that female and male hands differ in finger-length ratios. Who is the longer one: the index- or the ringfinger.
Interested in that I googled a little bit and found out that it seems to be a well-known fact, that female hands have (relatively) longer index-fingers while male hands have longer ring-fingers.
They even assoziate it to pre-natal hormon levels in the uterus, sometimes. Totally new for me. Never payed any attention to that ...

In my hands, the index- and the ringfinger are of totally equal length ... hmmm ... what does that say to me? :)

What's the finger-length ratio in your hands?

It's always funny how everyone always get's their panties in a wad over such minutia!  :D Pay attention to the petroleum group's commercial on TV where the tall woman in the black pant's suit walks out onstage. She as well as many other women have extremely large hands for women and it doesn't seem to hold them back any. BTW - You can bet that they don't make size 12 and up high heels just to accommodate the whims of trans women either.

Hm.

7.5cm (2.95in)
17.5cm (6.89in)
17.5cm (6.89in)

My right hand's circumference is a tad bigger at 18cm (7.09in)

Slightly smaller than average female it seems. Then again, even many years ago I already had to buy my gloves in the women's section.  :)

Bump.  This thread would do well with another pass for recent adds to our circle of friends and family...  He He  ;D

You mean before this question as well as that other one about finger length ratio has been asked? ;)

P.S. I think somewhere deep down was also a thread about female and trans spatial abilities and map-reading...

Just showed my partner this thread. She has bigger hands than me.  >:-) Now I have to deal with a woman with a complex all afternoon. ::)

Hello old thread! Glad to see you again!
To summarize for the newcomers: Here's a hand-size chart! Feel free to test yourself against it; don't feel bad if you aren't perfect; a statistically significant number of transwomen fall within the normal female range.

Y'all are great folks. Hand size is completely irrelevant to that or to your femininity.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

True true! And if You cant read maps, that does not mean that You are or are not trans. It only means that You might get lost. Someday.

To start, it's true that none of this matters in the least when it comes to 'are you trans or not'. I remember when I first started, I went through a period where I measured *everything*. Some parts fit the pre-natal hypothesis, some parts didn't. What I found out later was that these things are a crazy distraction from doing the work of getting on with your acceptance of self and, while particular parts are nice for some kind of validation, nothing is going to fix the fact that I was still born with a body that was going to mature into the wrong sex and that's that so, while I'll play the data points game, I'd really encourage newbies to treat this stuff as what it is: traits. It's about the same thing as your hair color and just as relevant.

That said, just for the data points:

3.2 Width            \
7.0 Length            |- Inconclusively male or female though typical for my size.
7.9 Circumference /

2d4d Digit ratio has 2d longer by about 1/8". - Signs point to limited testosterone exposure

Carry angle on arms is difficult to measure at this point due to the fact that I work out a lot. Seems to be around 167º or so.

Upper to lower arm ratio: = 1.37 (female typical)

My hands are actually pretty well proportioned to my frame and the extra finger length is nice for the simple ability to open jars. The only thing I don't like about having larger hands is the lack of gloves available in that size.

P.S. Fingers be damned, nothing changes the larger than should be rib cage, shoulders, or deeper pelvic girdle... uggh.

3.4 breadth
8.0 length
8.0 circumference

My measurements are n inches! I love my hands!
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

*heh*  I fit into the 99th percentile for women on everything except width, where I am slightly closer to the majority.

Of course, at 6'4", I'm comfortably in the 99th percentile on height for women, too, so I guess the world will just have to deal. ;)

I did all that measuring and I'm not even sure why.  Not like those numbers are going to affect my dysphoria one way or another, but since I have the numbers, here they are (in inches):

3.2 breadth
8.1 length
8.1 circ.

So, I just measured all my hand measurements using this:

I have girl hands. :)
3" width, 6.8" circumference, and 7" length.

I'm not sure if this is liable to be trigger-ish, so... feel free to post your measurements. Or not.

45: 2.8 in.
46: 7 in.
47: 6.7 in.

I already knew I had fairly feminine hands for my size. I'm 5' 11" and have the same exact size hands as my 5'4" mother.
