I played piano in front of I'm guessing probably 3000 people (14.000 people fit in the venue, but it was pretty empty). I went to a concert and before it started they had a piano set up for people of the audience to play on, I was really scared but did it anyway! People clapped and yelled :D I'm liking this confidence-thing! Another!

How exciting, I'm proud for you!

My eight-year-old son is trying to convince us that our dog is transgender because she lifts her leg to pee. He's referring to her as a "transdoggy".  ;D
This gives me joy!

My 4 year old accepted that I'm a girl today.

She has difficulty on a classification level - since she's very into labelling things. I guess I finally convinced her!

I was having my nails done, I have gels so every 4-6 weeks they need replacing. I really enjoy it.

A little old lady on a walking frame came in, left her equally old partner in the waiting area. He looked as excited as Hell was coming on the next bus.

She wanted her nails filed, her fingers were so fragile that the tech asked the manager for help. She then asked for pink nail polish. Standard in the place is to pay for polish before it is done, you cannot reach into your purse with wet polish! She emptied her purse and counted every coin, $12.

The manager went to the till and I just told her to put it on my bill.

She took back the $12  and the lady looked upset, why? Oh Cindy has paid for it (goddess everyone knows my name ::). She turned around and asked why?

I didn't want to embarrass her so I just said 'because I can'.

I left, her partner was weeping.

I felt sad in case I had insulted him.

But I kept walking.

I'm not anything special; but they have lived their lives to look after their families, and now have nothing.

They are special.

My mother is worried about me and reaching out to me. I tried to explain dysphoria to her. I think my example about watching Butch Cassidy worked best (yeah... 2 girls in the movie and all I could think about was how the whore had more options in her life than I ever did - let alone Etta, Sundance's girlfriend).

I just hope she's not going to try to "fix" my dysphoria. My (partial) fix is coming.... sooooon.... :D

I recall this pretty young intern insisting on doing a breast exam, I thought this is a switch!  :icon_redface:

I met my district and depot managers today for the first time. I didn't get to see them for long because I arrived late from some other training I had on, but they all seem like really sound guys, and some of the best managers in the country from what we've heard of the other ones. Some don't even take the time to find out we're arriving, let alone visit us.

As a bonus my taxi, and drinks were paid for. Especially useful as it's the week before payday and we're all living on nothing.

Sounds like you're getting some good perks with your internship!

That sounds like a nice birthday present (my birthday is the same day) but I got so close before
So let's reverse things; you get hormones on my birthday,  what do I get on yours?

Finally saw an endocrinologist who prescribed me micronized progesterone. Also was able to get Finasteride to help with my hirsuitism. Great day :)

Had a great therapy session today, one big step left to do and I'll have my letter for HRT. Then I got in contact with a woman who use to work where I work and we talked for almost an hour and now I've added yet another person to my support group circle :D Such an awesome day and it's only day 1 of 3 straight days where I get to go out into the world in the evening as my real self.

Best of all it seems like my parents are finally coming around to my side. We watched a National Geographic program called Taboo that was about transgender people from all around the world and when it was mentioned that suicide rates are very high among trans people my mom said this was her biggest fear. To which I responded well it's true that it's a high rate for people like me but when they have people that support them that rate goes way way down to the level only a few percent just like the general population has. Support and acceptance where the person can always turn to and get the reaffirmation that they need when things go wrong gives them hope to continue on. I think saying that right there had a huge impact because it was true. I really do need my parents to be my foundation that is always there supporting me as the winds and storms try to blow me down.

What a great day and way to go to bed in such a great mood. Tomorrow it's my first laser appointment!

If you don't have hormones by my birthday I'll be really  >:(  >:( !!!! (July ;))
Patience... I have sooo little and the T makes it worse - I'm just thankful I have a count down I can hold on to. I've been talking hormones to the family - which always makes them and me nervous - but it seems to help them understand. They say I've changed... I say I've doubled my testosterone and feel like I did in high school again (which is right before I gained the weight). Those who knew me then (i.e. my parents) probably remember my short temper ;). I think I've been doing VERY well at not living to that standard.

Willow, I hope yours come before mine! Did you get that campus job you were looking at (I think that was you)?
