A Kickstarter reward came today - Visionnaire pen... and my first "nice looking" fountain pen. (I've been a Lamy girl... and love Noodler's Heart of Darkness).

Also... DW 50th!!

Had a nice time with my friends Kate and Tegan. We're going to have an art, movie, and geek out night next week sometime.
Which brings me to what I think will work for a degree for me, finally; dual major in studio art and computer science.

I'll bet it feels good to no longer be so undecided.

It looks like there'll be no overlap, so instead of being 3 years in school, it's looking more like 6.
I'll go see an academic adviser on Monday to figure something out.

Good luck Willow! It sounds like a wonderful program you're putting together :) I love comp sci stuff (I was electrical engineering).

Ouch I would have thought a number of classes would overlap, generals at least.

Had a nice bike 80k ride this morning as the roads were quiet and getting some old form back as my fitness improves.
Missed another large storm yesterday and another one predicted today.

Still have one more week off work and in a sick way am looking forward to getting back into it after time off.
So long and thanks for all the fish

The generals I completed mostly in high school. Which makes this year a pretty big waste, unless I miraculously pass calc 2 with at least a 2.0. Astronomy I always knew was useless, and organic chem was really useless. At least I won't need to take any electives.

It always baffles me how ones and zeroes turn themselves into Skyrim or another game like that.

Hmm, not no option here to do them in high school.

It's called AP, similar to your A levels. Except not required. Just cuts courses off from university, so like I was supposed to go for 3 years instead of the normal 4 years in the US for a bachelor's.

And I won't have to. Just somehow pass calc 2 and 3. The former I'm told is hard (which I am experiencing, haven't passed a math test all year) and the latter easy

LA isn't bad... it's difficult, but relatively easy if you aren't forced to do it all manually. Applying LA to 3D graphic design, on the other hand..... I tried to learn that on my own for my thesis and decided to scrap the 3D implementation (I did a graphical simulator... but 2D was as good as I could do graphics-wise... and I even suck at that).

I've only visited LA.  If it weren't for the smog, I might enjoy living there.

I've only been to San Diego in CA... it's beautiful, but I don't know I'd like the traffic!! (Honolulu traffic would be acceptable -- it's terrible, but you're in Hawai'i ;)).

I have a feeling that I have the room to my own tonight... well, one of them will probably appear at some point in the early hours of the morning, but she's the least irritating out of them all and I'll hopefully be asleep by then.  And someone came round to visit me for no reason except to see me, which surprises me every time.

I've lived in both LA and San Diego, Both are rather trafficy but SD has the better air quality imo

LA tends to be a shower twice a day kinda place where you take a bite rather than a breath of fresh air

I used to do vendor audits in SD, those were always fun.  15 minutes of auditing then spent the rest of the day on the beach at the Hotel del Coronado, drinking beer.  Sometimes we'd stay an extra day, 15 minutes just wasn't enough to get everything done, so we'd do another 15 minutes of work the next day.

Wow! Nice job! That's what everyone thinks happens when I travel to Hawaii (which is very, very uncommon). Usually it's more like free breakfast, work from 9-9, get dinner, sleep, repeat. I did have one trip - we had to work to business hours in Hawaii AND business hours on the East coast. What a wonderful (and crazy lucky) trip doing 7-12 every day!!!

I fear I won't be doing much travel anymore, with my transition pending.

Went to my parents house after work today. Mom showed me the basics of make-up. Sure I looked terrible as my beard stubble is unshaveable due to doing my first laser session earlier in the week. Mom said I actually did much better than my sister ever did when she was first being taught. Dad got a good laugh and agreed.

Had a good time and tomorrow were going grocery/makeup & clothes shopping. It should be fun but I do have to do it in male mode. Still its huge progress with my parents considering that just over a month ago they were trying to cure me of being transgender.

Finally cried. It wasn't like bawling everywhere, but the tears flowed and I couldn't subconsciously stop them from falling. It felt great and even though I thought it wouldn't happen to music, it was music that did it.
