I love these threads, and I'm back. I'm not sure if using imgur is the safest bet here, as I haven't really come out to anyone but my closest friends, but I can't think of anything else.

Hair is growing back nicely, and I'm building up quite the collection of clothes! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Pre-HRT, just padding - going to see the Doctor to ask to talk to a therapist next Thursday, anyone here from the U.K. been through that?

You'll no doubt transition well, you have nice features to begin with and a nice slim frame to hang some girly attributes on. I like that dress you are wearing. Keep us posted so we can watch yet another amazing transition unfold.

The Doctor? Doctor who?
;) (sorry... not from the UK).

You look beautiful already! I agree with Shan... not only is that shirt awesome, but you already look pretty passable! Good luck getting your HRT ♥

Hi,
I just joined a few days ago. Not sure I'm able to participate in this discussion, but wondering if I can get any advice. I haven't done any FFS or HRT yet, but planning on a nose job and trachea shave to begin with.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thank you so much! I'm actually a little teary at the lovely responses...

The dress was a Primark thing (UK discount clothing shop, kind of like T.J. Maxx? I think that's what Americans call it?) That I fell in love with, totally forgot about the huge union jack on it so remarking I was British was kind of redundant :/

And again, not sure how it is for others but here we see our local Doctor (Or GP, General Practitioner) to discuss health problems before being referred to other specific treatment within the NHS, unless you are rich and on private healthcare. Which I'm not.

By and large, my GP has been rather useless, blaming other problems or trying to prescribe antidepressants (Which I say not to) so I'm not sure how this will go - I've requested to speak to another Doctor so hopefully they will be a little more accommodating and I've never told about my trans feelings. I'll keep everyone posted, but I won't clog this thread up with it. Hopefully it will give me some info to help other British girls dealing with this.

Steph. Such gorgeous hair... you may want to style it differently to hide any sign of a large forehead though. I tend to have about 4 or 5 kirbies or hair grips in just to make sure it sits over my forehead right and hides my widow's peak. A fringe (Do you call it bangs?) may be the best bet.

Shantel. Thank you, I believe you spoke to me before the last thread got locked, you're such a lovely and supportive person <3

Kabit. Thank you <3 Ohmygod if Matt Smith showed up and asked me to be his companion... <Insert dirty joke about sonic screwdriver>

MaddieShirley. You think I could pass? One day I will try...

*EDIT* Kaylee, I got your message, and thank you very much for the help! I can't actually reply or send messages yet, and I'm not sure when I can, so I hope you see this here. Once I can send messages I'll send a reply with how things are going up here in Scotland XxX
Lets see how long this avatar lasts!

Well I guess I will join the fun too. :)
Pre-everything except shopping :P
Ok, so the first one is a few months old and is with makeup and stuff. The second is from last night, when I wasn't presenting female, because I'm not out to anyone yet :( and the full shot is what I had on last night, and I'm not that freakishly tall it was just a bad angle...

So, what do y'all think, and what can I work on?
You are gong to be a knock out one day! You are already adorable! oh hell I'll be honest I'd hit on you now!
Don't judge a book by its cover! My lifes been like a country song! True love, amazing grace, severe heartbreak, buckles, boots n spurs! I 've been thrown off the bull a couple times, I keep getting up and dusting myself off! Can't give up on my happily ever after!

Okiess, soo been regrowing my hair for a month now and decided to try styling it today and doing something androgynish..the result, i look like a 12 y/o boy, lol (my high pitched 12 year old GIRLish voice adds to that even more lol ):

Also, no makeup besides a little under eye concealer.

You kind of remind me of Natalie Portman.
I'm not here to decorate your world.

I prefer this look to your long hair. Simple, natural and so very beautiful.

Looks to me like you are off to a good start.  We have many, many UK members here.  You might want to check the therapy board in the Transitioning forum for further information.

12-year old boy??  Nope

Androgynous?  I can see that, but leaning way over toward the feminine side.  Actually like a sharp young professional.

Stephanie/Seth - how do you feel most comfortable?  I know it is all confusing right now.  And you already have feedback that either in guy mode or girl mode, you have a naturally feminine presentation.

Where is your heart leading you?

Shawn, I remember some of your earlier San Francisco pictures.  You look happier now, but that may be because you appear to be losing weight.  Am I wrong?

Hi, Stephe, and welcome.  The thing that jumps right out at me is your smile.  And since you are at ground zero, I'd say you already have a feminine vibe going.  Best wishes to you.

Okay, I decided to stop being a scurdy-face and post a more clear picture. So here I am, 5 weeks HRT, 'au naturel' (so technically guy-mode). Aside from my nose, doing something about my eyebrows, and lack of make-up, is there anything else that stands out that I could improve upon?

Ashey, I have three daughters, ages 20 to 27.  You fit right in.

I'm not a big fan of lip piercings, but at your age, whatever feels good. Right?

And a little makeup will accentuate your already soft, feminine features.

Okay just over 3 months on HRT now. Pretty much full time as far as wearing only female clothing. I've come out to a few people and customers and such are figuring it out themselves, I'm pretty sure. People see me as "artsy" so a lot just think I'm going through a new fashion kick. One of my employee's had a regular customer ask her if I was transgender, she told the customer I was "having a creative surge recently". Also partly because I've been making a lot of jewelry lately, but thought that was funny. She told me that after I came out to her as transgender.

Anyway ran some errands at several stores and stopped by work for an hour and thought I'd take some pictures and post them here. I took all of them so they are poor quality and the last one I finally had my husband take (so I look a little self conscious lol). Lighting was just so bad, hello winter and short days and long nights  ::)

My hair is pinned up in a French twist, it's finally sweeping my shoulders but the sides and front aren't long enough and it's too shaggy looking to wear it down  :embarrassed:

Oh wow...I think these are my favorite of your pictures so far.  You look amazing.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

More than "artsy" - I see a trend setter!
