LOL also. If we put our minds together, we can rule the world.  >:-)

As for me....
- Fairly high IQ. Advanced degree in one of the sciences.
- Left handed.
- Was good at art, music (vocals), and sports in high school but gave it all up to become a complete science nerd.
- Probable ADD/ADHD never been formally diagnosed.
- Computer gaming, cooking, big outdoors person, would love to play guitar some day.
- Not the biggest fantasy geek, escapism, etc. (Clearly one of my weaknesses!)

Highly creative kind of like MacGyver I suppose,  expressive too sometimes. Tore all of my toys apart and put them back together.

MacGyver!  Yesss.  I totally get it.  I once fixed a '69 Camaro with a guitar string, a coat hanger and a cigarette butt after the throttle cable snapped.
Plus I make/modify a lot of my own luthier's tools.  You don't get into fixing guitars unless you have a major MacGyver streak.

Wow! This is a great post. Let me add my two cents.

I worked in the financial sector for 24 years.
An electronics technician for 11 years.
Taught myself the basics of Microsoft Powerpoint.
I write poetry, short stories, essays, and commetaries.
Love computers, horror stories, football, music, and lighthouses.

The only thing I do left handed is swing a bat.
   ;D

Iq I don't remember but was always quoted very intelligent in the reading and comprehension areas of tests

I was born left hand but due to some "experiences" I was forced to retrain as a right hander (might explain some things x.x)

I love to sing and make music with pots, pans, and random things. Used to play a guiter upside down (played left) but learning became too difficult. Dabbled in piano and was even given piano in high school.

I love doing all types of tests. Spatial test was mentioned here. I had to take these tests for a therapy session and the therapist was blown away, but eh.

Suck at math but do have spurts where I practice my basics except percents.

Definitely draw mostly when upset, aabstracts, and various male images of myself. Tried painting. I don't understand it yet so I stopped.

I love fixing things. Enjoy taking things apart and have no trouble putting them together unless I broke it down too far. I begged my dad for a mechanics book for my lawnmower years ago and it gave me the extra confidence for fixing or atleast finding what's wrong.

Flying? Na. But if I watch too much Swat Katz I get the urge to be a jet fighter pilot in the heat of the moment :/

Edit: Oh and I forgot I can back a car up like no one's business...but i sure don't park straight forward.
What do the eyes say when you look into them? What do you see?

I've come to think of it; since the trend is for transpeople to have higher intelligence, perhaps said intelligence allows us to peer inside us and discover what is truly happening inside our own brains and bodies, so we question our findings unlike most, who would just pass it by.
Hey, you've reached Lauren's signature! If you have any questions, want to talk, or just need a shoulder to cry on, leave me a message, and I'll get back to you.

While everybody has definitely shown they are indeed very bright, they're lots of types of intelligence.

IQ tests are interesting no doubt, but they're only tests that touch on certain parts of smarts, not the whole spectrum.

If you've taken a psychology class in college you may have learned about things like Artistic intelligence, Social intelligence, Musical intelligence, Logical intelligence etc..

They're all equally as important, and it's okay to lack one and have another. :)

I agree with Willow, maybe trans people tend to analyze ourselves and others more than non-trans folks.

My IQ is like 118 btw lol.

LOL... the one thing we're missing? We're bad at working together ;)

That's not true! Any antagonism in the trans community was instigated by some transphobic cis people. Luckily I learned all about their evil plans and have since defected to the other side.

When the revolution comes I'd like a small island, please!   ;D

I'm sure we could work something out... there's this Isla Numblar place near Costa Rica... Apparently there is some local wildlife that has caused problems in the past, but there is a full-fledged abandoned resort there you could renovate...  :)

Sooo neat how many programmers there are...

My programming timeline starts 15 years ago with basic, then assembly, javascript, arduino c, and most recently python. I also do html and css but I avoid it like the plague. Programming is a part of my day job in animation programs... After Effects + Cinema 4D. I've been modeling and animating 3D for 15 years as well.

I come from a musical family so I dunno if it counts (especially because my mom was a music teacher).. I play piano (classical), alto sax (jazz), french horn (symphonic), mellophone (when I was in ohio state marching band), and guitar. I used to be avid about singing, and I have perfect pitch- which has proven very handy for female voice training :)

Not much in terms of ambidextrousness, I'm a right hander.

Mechanical, audio engineering, led light sculptures and fabrication are probably my favorite past times outside of my day job. I just ordered a gigabot 3D printer and I'm anxiously awaiting its shipment!

With all the musicians here, how many are in Los Angeles/SoCal and want to jam just for fun in the new year?

Warning: I like classic metal! \m/ (-|-) \m/

I can do rock, hard rock, classic rock or blues as well.  I'm not much of a jazzer though, I'm afraid.

Takers?
