A co-worker just returned from a business trip to China. Knowing I am a tea lover he brought me back a nice container of Guan Tin Tie Yun. Super excited to try a cup when I get home.
Love it! I used to be a big tea drinker, but ever since I got my new espresso machine I haven't had the urge much. I have a friend from China who always brings us back the good stuff. After the holidays I will make a point of having more tea along with a more healthy lifestyle. The impending holiday season has made my diet and exercise habits temporarily fall by the wayside. Oh well, at least I have a distinctly female butt now!
Anyway, what made me happy today was that when I was out running errands I stopped at a convenience store for milk in my old neighborhood. I used to go there almost every day and all of the clerks knew me well. One day, many years ago I threw a drunk racist d-bag right out the front door for threatening one of them and he was always grateful and extra friendly to me. I walked up to him today, smiled, and wow- he obviously had no idea it was me. The magic is working!
