While looking through my facebook notifications I saw that one of my best friends from high school had left a comment on my most recent photo that read.

QuoteNice pic. U go girl! I'll be down to visit. U are part of the best time in my past. Merry Xmas

It totally made my day.

Just got back from spending the day with my family at the cemetery. Luckily my father isn't buried in the same place as my mother and brother. In fact, I'm pretty sure he's in some unhallowed ground somewhere, covered by three feet of concrete and peed upon daily by incontinent Chihuahuas. At least I hope so.

Anyway, that's besides the point. Spending time at their gravesides made me feel... better. More at peace with myself, as perverse as that probably sounds. I had a good long talk with... well... I don't know. Myself... them... both... who knows. Cleared up some of my emotions. Got some things off my chest, into the ether, as it were.

I guess I should get a sandwich or something. I haven't eaten yet.

I had Christmas eve dinner for extended family members at my place, told my wife I wanted to dress en femme for it, something I normally never do. She said, "Why not what don't they know already?" The evening went well, people were much more chatty than normal, all was well with the world at Auntie Shan's house. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to my other extended family here at Susan's Place!

Nice Christmas present.  :)

Thanks, wish you were there Ken, you would have been welcomed by my clan though I'd have to fix you a few special nice veggie plates.

I got $100 and some scented candles from my Mom. I got $20 from my aunt so it's all good. ;D My mom also bought me this wacky thing that can be used as a cradle for charging a cell phone/MP3 Player, etc. It's blue and as my dad put it "It looks like a weird, blue zombie Gumby." :D Which is pretty much what it looks like. I will try to find an image of it.

well, yesterday I bought a five dollar scratch off and won $400. That'll  help me get caught up on some bills.

and today, I worked, but I volunteered for that, and a regular customer brought me food two different times, lol. She stuck to my no veggie rule too. Plus a few people insisted I keep their change for working on Christmas, so I ended up with about 8 dollars from that.

Wasn't online yesterday for much so I didn't post this then but I got a lot more for christmas than I expected as things are tight this year but they were all genuine surprises besides one which was a new battery for my laptop(thanks mum) as I had already been told about it. The first surprise was a Doctor Who DVD game. But the biggest surprise of all was from my mum....she got me makeup XD Eyeshadow and face powder and she had written it to the initials for my new name as she couldn't recall how I spell it. So double improvement from my mum. She said it was only cheap stuff as it was a last minute purchase but that it was at least something I get start on and practice with. Overall was a very enjoyable day no real problems at all

So Happy!!

I couldn't find one so I just took a pic with my phone. I forgot about the phone since I was caught in cartoons and fics tonight. :D

Here it is:

I also got a pack of scented candles from my Mom. That is what is behind that thing.

Well, if you straighten it out and stand it up, it gives off that Gumby vibe.

My dad is setting up my new laptop and he had to make an account for me. When I looked at it later I saw he'd put Nathan as the accountname :) Thank you Dad! Small things like that make me happy because I can feel he's really trying and I really appreciate it.
