Was taken to Bahama Breeze for birthday lunch (not entirely my decision) and had some rather delicious jerk chicken, which I didn't finish and forgot to take home.

My bad, thought it was fairly universal:

http://www.5280.com/magazine/2009/07/denver-omelet

The origins of the beloved Denver omelet may be a bit of a mystery, but the mixture of ham, eggs, peppers, and cheese conjures up images of chuck wagon cooks. Curtis Lincoln, executive sous chef in charge of Ellyngton's at the Brown Palace, dishes on perfecting this Western breakfast...

I'm not that fond of ham with eggs unless it's green eggs & ham!  ;D

Hotdogs with cheese. And yes, I used some ketchup on them too.

They look delicious. Shame they're hellbent on asphyxiating me.

What does one pour on New Year's eve? Champagne of course. It also happens to go particularly well with oysters!

I know it's champagne!!  You can tell by the neck of the bottle.  Which vintner??   Which style??  I can't quite make out the label.

We uncorked a bottle of Schramsberg (Napa-Sonoma Valley) Blanc de Noirs, 2009

Pecans.  I've been trying to thin out my freezer lately.  Had about a pound of pecan halves frozen for the past year or so, time to start making them useful instead of simply ballast to hold in the coldness  ;)

I have been using pecans in salads recently.  With cranberries or other dried fruits.

Just finished two big cheeseburgers with a big chocolate chip cookie in each one.  Definitely glad I finished them before opening this topic too!
