Shame we have to wait until August to see anything new!

Well I am hoping for costume pic leaks as I am working on a custom project of him. But yeah it sucks we have to wait so long especially since it may not start until September now as the filming block is set to end in August.

BTW did anyone catch the Five(ish) Doctors? Written by Peter Davidson and staring him, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy as themselves trying desperately to get a part in the 50th Special - it's pretty darn funny and has cameos from Smith, Tenent, Moffat and many others. Great stuff!

I watched it online a few days ago and loved it.

I kicked off on Tom Baker, so Capaldi appeals.  I personally wanted Tamsin Greig to play the next one, after Neil Gaiman so brilliantly added that timelords DO shift sexes with the Corsair.

Fun game...  you have been cast as the next doctor who.  Pick YOUR costume and decorate YOUR tardis console.

T.A.R.D.I.S: I would have a cross between what the 8th doctor had in the tv movie and the current interior, for the outside I would leave it as is but make the sign on the door black with white writing again instead of white with black writing.

Costume: Probably a mix of what the 8th doctor wore in The Night Of The Doctor, Matt's current look and the 1st Doctor's outfit. Might do a mash image later to give a better idea of what I mean. Although there is something I am working on that will give the effect more or less.

Stylin'.

For me, I loved The TV movie tardis.  Very jules Verne- and the bats where a nice touch.  The core I would take from Peter Davidsons and bring back the hexagonal white things- perhaps add some mcecher type black and white weirdness.

Clothes wise,  I think I would revisit the long scarf... perhaps thinner and shorter with more harmonius autumn colors.  A touch mary poppins... since I would be female.  Maybe a collar that can be drawn up to a hood I could peer around mysteriously.  Fingerless gloves or sleeves that act that way... (england and wales is chilly to film in) Pockets for gadgets... no more 'one screwdriver fixes all'.  My sonic would be coppers and brass- with aqua glow, and a long crystal exposed in the handle that dips like the tardis console when fired.  Jelly babies and Jammy Dodgers all the way.

Hmm... what else...  I would like to get my granddaughter susan back- that would be fun...  romana would make a pretty awesome opponent- perhaps she is trying to bring back gallifrey but I know it would start up the war and we battle it out in different tardis'- trying our best not to hurt each other.  Hmmm... a reprogrammed cybermat would be a fun pocket object.

Okay rushed this abit so not too good but gets the idea across of what the doctor would look like if I was cast in the role, but ideally with a more feminine figure:



Breakdown = 8th Doctor from The Night Of The Doctor as the base image with the boots and pants coloured black and the shirt cuffs brightened/lightened, 11th doctor's purple coat, 1st doctor's waistcoat and the shirt and tie are from a pic of Peter Capaldi, I also liked that the tie carries on the polka dot pattern that 11 had on his bowtie at the end. Also my feeble attempt of making the doctor appear mid regeneration(didn't want to add my face to it as yet lol.

i just bought the (Nu) Who Season 5 Bluray Set. Yes, even Germany finally has Doctor Who DVDs even in such a hellhole of a town. I watched the first episode of the season on my PS3, looks amazing.

I never saw doctor who growing up, I've watched the reboot since it came out though. A while ago I went back and watched the very first season of Doctor who (William Hartnel). I found that doctor far more interesting because he was so obviously selfish and self serving in the way he ignored others opinions and risked their lives to satisfy his curiosity.

Nice!  Where did you find the leggings? 

I've kept my eye on think geek's Who collection, but I've found the female outfits and styles a bit lacking sadly.

The leggings were a limited edition from Black Milk Clothing..

I'm sticking with TARDIS prints for Who wear..

Many years ago, back in the early days of radio station Double J (yeah, before they went to FM and became Triple J) they ran a serialised comedy show called "Doctor Poo" and he traveled about in a TURDIS that made the appropriate flushing sounds when moving through time and space. Never heard it in full, a bit before my time, but did hear some excerpts once so I know I'm not imagining it!
