He he

You mean you put the chocolate chip cookie in the cheseburger first?  Ack, I'd rather have the deer  :D
its just a cheeseburger with a chocolate chip cookie on top of the burger and cheese before the top bread is put on. Its good, been eating them that way since the eighties.

(Sorry if this is offensive - couldn't resist  :D)

Is this what Disney meant by the "circle of life"??

I steamed some frozen machaca Christmas tamales, and served with a little salsa cruda and light sour cream.

Machaca is spiced shredded beef.

Suddenly, I have a hankering for a Moon Pie.

I made hot and spicy beef and broccoli on rice, it was pretty good but my mouth needs a fire extinguisher now  :icon_burn:

My wife gave me a tamale pot for Christmas. Can you pass along a good recipe? :)

Tamale pot??  Isn't that what you get from eating too many tamales  >:-)

First of all, what type of fillings do you like?  The ones I like are the machaca and chicken, but you can do carnitas, hamburger, ground turkey, vegetables, just about anything.

Here is a good overview.  I am not sure if you have immediate access to things like masa and corn husks, but you can find them on Amazon.com  But you have the pot, and I am jealous!

I adore leek soup. It's one of the few recipes I can make well :)

Thanks for the links :)

Specialty ingredients are impossible to find in town, but I'll check the big city or online. Muchas gracias!

There are ways to make tamales right (old fashioned, time consuming) and ways to make them quickly.  Say you want to do a salsa verde pollo tamale (chicken with green chili).  You could cook up the chili and tomatillos and add the spices, or you can acquire a bottle of salsa verde!

Short cuts are okay.  The key is finding a good corn flour (masa) dough recipe that you like.

Tonight it's a vegetarian experiment with tofu lettuce cups.
Tomorrow it's halibut piccata and also making veggie minestrone for Mon/Tue.
Wednesday it's falafel, hummus and tabouli.

And lots of cardio!

Trying to lose the guy physique completely this year!

I just had a mediocre Italian (??) sour beer, a bunch of pretzel rods, and the absolute best beer in the world (my Westvleteren XII clone).
