Thanks Shan!  Actually I still haven't taken care of the eyebrows, they just look thinner when they aren't raised up.
Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Well you're looking great, I like the top you're wearing too!

It's actually a men's Tshirt I got for free that's a little too big that I cut the neckline out.

I certainly believe that you could pass as female in the future. There are some things in the picture that makes you look a bit male though.
When I watch your picture it looks as if you have a 5-o'clock shadow. Your eyebrows look good, maybe they need a bit more trimming. Otherwise you look good!

Carrie:  Thanks for posting a full video with sound an everything, so we don't have to assume details.

Honestly, I couldn't imagine you passing as a guy.  You are pretty close to "male fail".

And CHarlie can be a girl's name, so that didn't even make a difference.

If you were wearing makeup I doubt I'd clock you.

Also, I have indeed been gendered female a few times in this work uniform, even with a nametag that still says "Charlie." Two people have given me "her... um, I mean him," one person used female pronouns blatantly, and yesterday one of the players called me "sweetheart." So there's definite external signs that some people are starting to think I'm female. But again, I'm just scared that I'm not female enough, that I'm still going to be shunned and quarantined. So opinions would me much appreciated.

Honestly you look exactly like a female I work with. Really your faces are near perfect matches! Just put on some eye make-up and nails then your good to go.  Plus your voice isnt manly, so congrats

So I posted here a few years back, and then hurried back in the closet.. Had my first appointment with my therapist today, and I'm making things happen. Easy on the eyebrows, my wife has the wax pot heating up as I type. I've passed before dressed up but hopefully 2 years of age haven't ruined my girl-a-bility.

So my question is this... here's a video that I just recorded a few weeks ago. In this video, I am making NO effort whatsoever to be feminine. I'm just using my natural speaking voice, this is my natural hair, I'm not wearing any padding or makeup whatsoever, no anything. This is what I look like when I've done nothing but roll out of bed, take a shower, get dressed, and go straight to work.

What do you all think? Do I look female enough to seriously start considering going full-time? I haven't really had an impetus to get on with it for quite a while now, because I was still able to freely display my long hair and earrings and enjoy my femininity. But now that I'm basically being forced to stifle it, I feel like that's the kind of impetus I need, but again, I'm just afraid that I'm not far enough along yet. What do you all think?

Also, I have indeed been gendered female a few times in this work uniform, even with a nametag that still says "Charlie." Two people have given me "her... um, I mean him," one person used female pronouns blatantly, and yesterday one of the players called me "sweetheart." WTF is this??? What girl gets out of bed and expects to look her best? No woman just wakes up and takes a shower and forgets to get everything else ready. You know this. You owe it to make a fair comparison. Make a vid in your best presentation and then compare. You already have the skills!

You have the role of a power figure in your work relationship. Your customers expect you to be the authority as the dealer. They're not going to question you. Your job is to be robotic (at least to a degree) so you have a huge advantage in that regard. Your height won't mean anything because your clients are seated and again, YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY. Own it. And if anyone gives you ->-bleeped-<- you can always have them kicked to the curb. You're in charge.

Geez girl, I'm such a fan of yours. I want to see you rock it. You can make this happen. Even your bosses are like "ok, let's get this going." You're an inspiration and a champion and a hero. Go smile when you introduce yourself. I have the faith in you!!!

I'm sorry, I just... still really don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do to feminize myself, and I'm too scared to try.
  •

oh hai!

I'd say you are very feminine already Carrie. You are on a weight loss program; why not wait to see the results from that before losing hope. Your face changes dramatically with it as well your body features. Increased health, increased energy and increased confidence and all that. Hold the line girl!

Eyebrows are in check now, hair is growing luckily I don't have any MPB, and I need a little dental work but the smile will come out!

Carrie....Some thoughts...

- Wear something with a deeper neck and show more skin around your neck and shoulders
- angle your head better. Imagine someone is pulling your head up from the back at the top with a piece of string
- shoulders should be back.
- You have a little brow ridge. Bangs will help. Preferably go to a good hair stylist and show them all the bits you want to hide and let them do their magic.
- ear rings. Preferably big hoop ones.

Job done ;-)
- contour and a touch more make up.

You have a somewhat noticeable mustache, but I'm sure that you've considered laser/electrolysis!

Carrie, I have a similar brow ridge and swept bangs has done wonders for me! You might like to give that a try. Or even just bangs. That made a world for difference for me as well when I had them.

Yeah luckily that picture is from 3 or 4 days since shaving, so that's about as bad as it gets. It's decently dark against my light complexion too so a few laser sessions should do the trick!

Carrie I say go for it!! Like everyone else said you're very feminine and as one put it "male fail" (<I like that one :P ) Once I started dressing in complete womans clothing I got more looks but wow my confidence soared!! I was nervous too, but once I just went with it, I actually felt less anxious around others, and it has given me a LOT more confidence, and I actually feel proud now to be transgender, it's not something I'm scared of anymore :)

Basically I think once you just go for it, you'll feel great about it and just feel better about yourself! I also think your manager sees in you what we see and that she is nudging you in the right direction ;)

Also... this... what do you mean "everything else?" I'm going to be honest, I really don't know what you're talking about. Makeup maybe, but what else? It seems like everyone else has this huge feminization routine that they go through, where I honestly don't know what the hell I'm doing. You mention making a video that's my "best presentation..." well, I really don't have a "best presentation." I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I had a mom whose idea of a hairstyle was getting a fem-mullet so that she didn't have to fuss with it, and she never wore makeup, and I never had any sisters or anything, so I've just never been exposed to femininity my entire life. I've never been around makeup or hair products or jewelry or anything feminine, and I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. Aside from maybe wearing a different pair of earrings, or makeup (which I've still only worn once in my entire life,) that really was my best presentation. :/

I could really use some help on that. When it comes to anything feminine appearance-wise, I'm completely lost.

Carrie- I think you pass super well already. Your face and body without a doubt! Voice might throw me off a bit, but pretty unnoticeable really. You are so adorable!!!! However, I was wondering, was the video supposed to be you presenting as male or female? All I saw was female in that video, so if that is how you generally present at work, looks like you're already doing it :) Once you're hair gets to a more styleable length, you are going to look totally fabulous.

I'm with you on the everything else... I have no idea what it is, and I grew up in a house where I was one of three sisters! Rolling out of bed and heading to work/school is what I do, and on the rare occasion I'll straighten my bangs, if I had a rough nights sleep. Besides that, the only beauty advise I could give you is... if you get dry skin use a facial moisturizer, not regular hand lotion (I've done it, it gives you zits >.<).

Plus, the way I see it, when you go out in makeup, people develop an expectation... and then it feels like you can't go out of the house without makeup. It's a bad cycle, imo. You look beautiful as your natural self already.
