Trying to get my head around this section so I can wrap it up. I should be focussing on finishing this chapter, but I'm making little connections to my conclusion and thinking about that instead. One thing at a time.

I got to thinking about when I will have enough money for my surgery. I really want to have it by the end of 2014, because otherwise, my other long term plans are thrown significantly off course.

March 2014: perform final edits on master's thesis; gather committee before they have their grading crunch
April 2014: have employment, if not sooner than this (call me back damnit)
May 2014: defend thesis to committee (post grading crunch); graduate
July 2014: hysterectomy
top surgery somewhere in here??? I hope.
Late 2014/early 2015: after recovering from top surgery, start saving money and making plans to get a work visa and job for the States (or somewhere in Canada depending where I choose to move).

This is going to be a hell of a year.

So. Hungry.

Dinner is 3 hours off, so I may have to break in to the hummus and tabouli now.

I like making fish tacos    But I only make the real deal kind, no bogus fast food for me thanks

I make my own tacos too. They taste much better than the fast food kind. I blame my Spanish teacher.

I use to live in San Diego and so Mexico was only 30-45 min.s away    Once you've had the real deal stuff the fast food places just look like a something that should be posted in the 'Bad Jokes' topic 

You know what would be cool? Warning: this is going to sound really sappy. If telling people why we like them was more socially acceptable. Personally, I think it would great to get some feedback on what I'm doing right. That way I can keep doing it and be a little less socially awkward. I'd like to be able to tell other people I think they're great without that person assuming I have any other motive than just thinking they're great. Not to mention what impact it might have on people's self esteem. People tell each other all the time that they aren't good enough. I wonder what would happen if people were told they are ok as often. Not that self esteem should be based on other people's opinions. I just think it would make socialization less frustrating. Do I make sense?
