A new friend added me on facebook. I also seem to have at least a couple other new friends. I am given the impression these people like me.
One of my new friends avoided using pronouns until he knew which ones to use. It's not quite passing, but I do like that he didn't automatically assume I'm the wrong gender.

I have learned the wonders of smell! I've been on hormones for 16 days and today was the first day I've experienced something where I feel like I can say "It has to be the estrogen." I've always had a pathetic sense of smell, so bad that I would literally have to hold even very pungent things in front of my face to actually smell them. Lately today, and some of yesterday though, I've been finding the joys of food cooking across the hallway, fish in a restaurant, the stinky garbage that needed to be changed as I walked in the house, my dad's stinky pain patches that reek of menthol, even the smell of soap! I can't really find words to explain how delighted this has made me after a lifetime of not having it, doubled with the fact that it's showing me that all of my doubts that the estradiol and spironolactone not doing anything are just silly worries and changes are happening, albeit slowly.  :D
I've always been taught that transitions are the hardest parts to play correctly in music, and I've found this to be completely accurate.

I guess time will tell me if musical transitions are as similar to transitioning your gender presentation in terms of difficulty!

Some anti-lgbt Christians tried insulting gay and trans people, but I can't help but take their "insults" as freaking awesome compliments.

I love how anti-LGBT people always say we're not "normal". Being normal is boring! :D

These ones said that trans people are satanic circus freaks and gay marriage is to build an evil empire. One of my goals is to build an evil empire and this has been my most listened to song on my ipod for the past couple years:

I can't help but grin because I think those "insults" are really cool.

Saw a cute coat on a girl and honestly thought,  that would look good on me, and fits the woman I want to be.  Felt cool. :)

I put on my picture on Pictriev (a website that decides how male or female your face is and which celebrity you look like). I got 7% Male 93% Female and apparently i resemble Halle Berry the most O_O. I highly doubt i'm that pretty though but it's nice to see those results
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

My goal is to overthrow all existing belief systems and install a global belief based around:

Oh yes....it's going to happen. Wait and see....

I know the tenor part to Bobby McFerrin's 23rd Psalm well enough now to sing it without the music, allowing me to pay more attention to the conductor since the rhythm is so fluid and free-form.

Hey, you do look kind of like Halle Berry! There's something about your smile and eyes. Your hair is longer and your cheekbones are different though.

I remember telling one penpal that if I had a million dollars, I would pay to have an intricately detailed statue of Portia constructed. He said I was crazy. :D :D But, come on! It would be totally awesome!

Thanks, that's real sweet of you...i know my cheekbones have some babyfat while Halle's are more slim.

Yeah something like that. You have softer facial features.

Sick! What kind of music so you usually play? And guitar?

Two of my roommates and I started playing together- I'm on guitar, new roommate is a drummer, and the one playing bass just picked it up. We had our fourth practice yesterday, and the sound we're making is coming along pretty great!  Kind of a noise-punk-shoegaze sound. Another roommate had friends over, and were pretty into it, which is encouraging.
