Atheist, unless you can actually prove it to me then... I am not going to believe anything. I believe in facts.

Facts are merely opinions which the majority have agreed upon.

not really. a fact needs an ontological basis, it needs to correspond to something that is or that has happened. that's why there aren't as many facts as are commonly assumed.

I believe that the universe has been going for a fair while and has got pretty complicated seeming

I don't believe in a higher power.  I think that classifies me as Atheist.

Have you tried Flying Spaghetti Monsterism?  I hear it has a lot of former atheists.

I heard that sect broke up after the atheists ate their deity.   ;D

Hi,

I understand that this thread has seen better days.  The early days of a thread such as this tend to be the bees knees.

I am writing this epistle in order to announce that the Church of Simian Primates is accepting new members.

Are you an atheist? Well, you are not going hell.  You are not going anywhere, in fact.  So, Join us, the Church of Simian Primates.  We don't believe in hell, but we'll do our best to make you feel that you are there.  ;)

Are you of any other faith?  Well, we offer you a chance to renounce your God or Gods, or nature, or Universe, or belt buckle, or whatever it is that you worship.  In the Church of Simian Primates, we worship nothing.  We are only interesting in Being, and of course, we do follow The LawGiver.  However, the LawGiver is very generous and pays 1 whole dollar above minimum.

So, please, change your vote. You know you want to.

A common misconception.  The eating of spaghetti is actually a holy symbol.  But it has to be done in the traditional style, and one must be wearing a full pirate costume.  In fact, here is an avatar of the holy creator:

Besides, it can't be dead.  They are apparently still selling T-Shirts.

Well, as anyone can plainly see, my religion, which is the One True Nothingness, has already eaten and digested (and is preparing to evacuate) yours.  :D

None

Is there an alternative plan such as following the One False Nothingness?
If so, do you have an available brochure?

None of the above no beliefs without proof, experience and results, and then it will change with new evidence. Probability.

i guess i'd have to say Taoist. it's the only creed i agree with in almost every aspect.

but i follow many different schools of thought.

i love the writings of Vivekananda.

i like much thought that is Buddhist, and also American Transcendentalism (esp. Thoreau)

i love the Roman philosophers. i learned alot from The Book of the Samurai.

and though people usually regard me as unreligious, i have alot of articles of faith.
