I don't know about that. You look very passable from the front. As for the side, I would clean up your 5:00 shadow, smile, and maybe try a different hairstyle.

I struggle with my looks as well (my girlfriend always tells me, "welcome to the club") but I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather be an ugly woman than an unhappy man. Look around. Women come in all shapes, sizes, and looks. Like I said I'm not too confident about my own looks, but after coming back from a work function, my girlfriend made the comment that I'm well on my way to becoming the best looking woman in the small group of mine (I only have two others on my teams). Counting my youngest son's mom and a few others, I'm not doing too bad :).

Jane

That reminds me of something I started telling myself when I started going out as a girl. A voice in the back of my head would say "If I go out dressed as a girl, what if I don't pass?" to which I would respond by saying "Well, I definitely won't pass if I dress like a guy."

I don't know though.  I just have this feeling I'm always going to be ugly.  I look okay, even good, from certain angles but then from others I just want to die. :(
Casey we all have had our up's downs, parts of our bodies we hate and want to change.

However as for you I have to go along with other girls here. If you were to grow your hair in a more feminine style, work on your brows a little, and either get laser treatments or electrolysis for that 5:00 shadow I'm sure you'd pass from all angles. We all go through this. Are you on hrt? If not, hrt will help some with your side profile.

I was told previously and in another thread that I have a few masculine features. Can anyone tell me what they are? Looking in a mirror, I have a hard time figuring out what my masculine features are exactly. Can anyone identify them?

Thanks.  I'm not on HRT yet, hopefully in 4-5 months.  I already have had my brows waxed, I guess I need to thin them out some more still?

I think it might be the fat distribution which HRT will fix

I don't see it either, you may have some brow bossing but without a side facial photo I can't tell. Personally I think you look pretty good riversong!

In my opinion you already pass. You have good fat distribution and high cheekbones. Even with the facial hair you look like a girl. There's things you could do to make yourself prettier (eyebrows, shaving, makeup), but in terms of passing you're already there.

Waxing might not be the best option for your eyebrows. I have the same problem with mine you have with yours, they are too low on my brow/too close to my eyes. What I do to remedy this is (I have a single hair laser constant beam I use for eyebrows) I shape them more round by working mostly with the bottom of my eyebrows leaving the top alone as much as possible. This gets them up a little away from your eyes. You could use tweezers to accomplish this. I used tweezers on mine before I got my lasers which if you get good one's like I did they cost a good bit of $$. However a good single hair laser can be had for around $200. on eBay. Anyway that's my suggestion for your eyebrows.

Hope it helps. ;)

I'm a little confused.  Why would waxing not be able to shape my eyebrows?

I'm not saying it can't. I stated it may, may not be the best option. The reason is you don't have the fine level of control with waxing you do with other methods. That's all. If you can get the fine level of control to shape your eyebrows, or, if your having it professionally done maybe I
'm wrong. It's been over ten years since I've had anything waxed. I just don't have the need anymore.

Oh yeah, I'm not doing it myself.  I had them done professionally.

I wish I could afford to have such things done professionally. But as of the moment and the near future I'm restrained to doing such things myself. I live alone by myself, and own my home plus one extra lot so I have that upkeep plus my vehicle, etc. I have an extra room and tried renting it out once, but my kindness was mistaken for weakness and I was forced to evict them. And here in Florida that's harder than it sounds.

Getting back on topic, you have a very good facial structure and will do very well on hrt. It all take's time I know and some of us myself included get impatient wanting to just shed the wrong skin we're wearing, but we just have to learn to be a little more patient sometimes.

I just passed the 4 month mark on HRT.  Am I making any progress?  I feel like I'm starting to get into the semi androgynous area.

Thought I'd also include a photo timeline of the last 6 years of photo IDs.

:o I definitely thought you were on hrt. Also, you are adorable! I think you have what could be called different features, but I think it is your difference which makes you adorable and unique. It makes you stand out in my mind, in a good way :). Perhaps you could call it a quirk? I love small imperfections- to me, they are what make a person truly beautiful. Who wants to be a perfect barbie, anyways?
